  1. Great point, Poc. I didn't get a house this year after we lost a roommate last year. As you get older, "shacking" up with semi-strangers, chasing money for bills, and a host of other awkward moments like sharing food, shit goes missing, "borrowing" gear, constant "guests", etc.turns me off at 47. If yer a kid, its different. Personally, I need to know a lot more about someone before I sign a lease for 3-4 months. More than just tipping a few beers and skiing for a day together.

Depends on how long family hangs around, if they roll by Friday, I'm thinkin either CB or Sno. Everybody I know that had a house for the season is outta the house, otherwise I'd crash up there and hit both for the weekend.
  3. I got another round of family visiting Tues-Sat, but I might boot em by Friday, so the weekend is a possibility to hit Sno or CB.
  4. No prob. I'm tempted to wear my Raiders jacket for gaper effect, but I like to have some zipper pockets.
  5. I'm leavin by 7, should get there around 8:15ish, just brought my ski stuff up from the basement.
  6. I'm goin up, unless its pouring rain, early drizzle I can deal with.
  7. Thanks for the update and pics. I'm feeling like a big douche if I don't go Saturday. If it doesn't rain, I'm goin.
  8. At least you got out today, 2 big thumbs up!
  9. I guess they're done taping the reality TV show. They were dollin' the place up nicely while the film crew was there. My one day there while they were filming was sick, conditionswise, for the pokeys.
  10. That's a decent deal, especially if they hike rates next year. Do they give you a discount from the regular season pass price? I'm only familiar with CB as a previous season passholder. I'd get an email in the fall to buy early and get a lower price. Saved about $100.
  11. Unless you get a huge savings, it seems like a chump move to give em 600+ to play with for the next 9 months, imo.......
  12. No method to that madness. If they're on the clock, they should be fixin it up, but I don't know squat about park maintenance.
  13. THey'll prolly be out tonite and Friday to patch some stuff up but my guess is the park staff has already had there hours cut way back, so they'll bring em out to fix it up a bit for the last few days.
  14. 08-09? who buys next year's pass in March?
  15. Been there, done that. I sent her to Miami while I was in Jackson. Dad dogsat while we were away. I'm stickin' with the dog angle
  16. No, yes and no. We've got a timeshare in NYC and go about 3-4 times a year so a show is already a given. The new dog angle is her hot button, and that can't happen til the fence goes up, and I control the fence project......see where this is going?
  17. If I could be at Blue in 10-15 minutes I'd be there, otherwise, it just ain't worth 2+ hours behind the wheel for me. Rather save it for real snow........... I'm in the process of bribing the wife for the Loaf trip, she's driving a hard bargain..........
  18. All the lipstick in the world can't gussy up that pig. Thanks for the pix and saving me a trip up there Friday. Think I'll take a pass and wait til next year.
  19. Loaf got about 4 fresh with another 6-10 on deck thru tomorrow nite.
  20. That's why I'm goin friday. Prolly get there around 9, no rush, no crowds......
  21. I'm thinking of splitting it up, going to see my bro and wife in Exeter, NH, ski Gunstock for a day, then head up to Maine. Nothing def. yet. Just noodling about it.
  22. Never been to 'loaf, and it looks like they got plenty of terrain for me. If a few more hours driving means more snow, I'll take that chance.
  23. got a quote back from Sug'loaf for 5 nites lodging at the Summit hotel, lift tix, and use of spa for 670. Gonna try to get bfast outta them too.
  24. I emailed sugarloaf for a quote for 4/6-4/11, I think the snowfall has a better chance of good accumulation further north. VT looks like they might get some in the NE corner of the state. Further up the better, imo.
