Yeah, the banana shape skis require full forward lean to drive the tips down and avoid the tails from coming up under you. That was a about a 5 foot ledge buried in the snow. I knew it was there, just not where it dropped. Gnar points for a good recovery.

The main trails are for the most part. I'm prolly gonna tour around tomorrow. Was thinking of trekking over to Whiteface for Moe's 1st descent.

1 1/2 hr Switched out boots and did 3 more runs off the backside of Sterling. Hitched up the trailer and picked up another 1/2 cord of wood. Going to Brewster's for dinnah. Sun came out for about an hour, clouds are back. JADIMFP

Dawn patrol for a skin up Sterling and made a T2B untracked endless pow run, a foot plus overnite, 52" in 48 hrs is reported. Made 2 runs off Madonna and my feet were screaming in pain from the hike. Might go back out after lunch, or rest up the feet. Sun is trying to poke thru, but largely overcast, in the teen.

I rarely take prescription painkillers. Maybe 1or 2 times a year. My dad got a scrip for 100 for ongoing dental issues so he gave me a few upon request. I like to keep a stash of pain meds for that 2AM tooth ache on a Saturday.

I know there will be no skiing at Blue in May.

Another 5-6" since I finished plowing around 6 tonite.

The blower. No roadside service for dat. Driveway at 7AM. And I plowed out 15" Tuesday night. That was the second plow.

Bonus trivia: I have tire chains for the blower that I failed on several occasions to install. They made their debut shackled to the snow blower and my trailer hitch as I dragged the beast up the driveway and shimmied it into the garage.

Epilogue: got home around 2, ate a big chunk of fudge that I made and picked up a plunger and a bottle of Green Slime. Plunged the clog and the slime sealed the tubeless tire. Shoveled the deck for the 5th time since yesterday and knocked out the driveway. Rough start to the day, but finished strong. Had pork belly sammies, salad and polished off some red wine.
