I reallly miss Elk, Chet's and the mid lodge. Good times and memories. A few years back I storm chased and slept in the Moetel in the lot. Seems like 100 years ago.

Opening bell with bluebird skies 3', no wind. Stuck to the resort trails as my legs are getting toasty and the foot pain blows. M1 lift line is open top to bottom, did my 1st run down that and pretty much drained my tank, lol. Did a run down Drifter which was great in a few parts and sucked on the rest, lotsa ice. Veered off of that into Shakedown Street glades and realized that my edges were non existent, so a bit of a struggle to get down and keep it safe. Called it a day, had the heater guy in to install new zone valves and a control box. Turns out he reversed the wires on the 1st floor zone, so he had to come back out this afternoon to remedy. Sub zero temps on the way, so properly operating heater is a priority. Went to the pool for laps, hot tub and 1/2 hour shower. Chili for dinner and then heading to Martell's ( The old Red Fox) at the bottom of my hill for some hippy Dead tunes and a few beers. Might take the day off tomorrow and be a slug. I earned it.

Yup, I should be back around the 15th unless we get nuked, but no later than the 20th. Super nice conditions today, low crowds, M1 and 2 were closed yesterday, so the mountain was relatively untouched this AM.

Lifts are weeding out the retard gene pool. It's not a lift issue, its a human retard issue.

GSS sounds more and more like Trump I got a case of mixed Heady, Crusher, and Banger for you and TNT. I got 1 case of Lost Nation Mosaic that I'm selling for $20 a 4pk. That's it. Everything else is spoken for.

M1 and 2 were on windhold, Freefall was roped off the last time I was up there, Lower part of lift line is open, I think the top is roped off. Dempsey's has been open. I doubt Robin's has been open, poached? yes, but that side needs some deep and gentle falling snow to get skiable.

Great snow, 4-5" on top overnight, Alley and Highway were boot deep, low crowds, met a guy on the lift from NJ that knows some of the same folks I know in Philly. Small world after all.
