about an inch or 2 natural refresher on the slopes with guns blazing over nite = soft laps this AM. 24 degrees when I pulled into the upper lot, overcast but clearing as I left. Promised Mrs. Ghoul to take her on a shopping trip today, so I only got 4 laps in. Hoping for a good blast of snow in the next 24 hours. Buddy messaged me that Jay has gotten upwards of 20" in the past week. Might go up there on Monday, or do a dawn patrol up Madonna if Ullr delivers. Good to hear that JF is getting it done.

Session 2 was fun playing on the Sterling lift line. The top is roped off but mid mountain is open and the new snow is helping out. Temps steady at 30 degrees, no wind, light snow while I was out there. Looks like we could get another 6-10" by Sunday. Should make Madonna hike worthy, maybe open the lift if they've blown on chilcoot. Monday is gonna be single digits so it'll be extra powdery! lift line wasn't bad, about 10 minutes.

Got some opening bell runs in, maybe an inch of fresh overnite. Smuggs put on a fireworks display last nite which was visible from our house. Snowing nicely right now, just ate some breakfast and heading back up. Snowing pretty hard right now.

Light flurries in the notch this AM. Mid twenties and foggy with light snow falling. Did better than 1st chair, rode up with ski patrol to do the sweep, got 6 runs in by 10 before the line got over a 15 minute wait. They blew snow last night, so the main trails were in good shape. Did speed runs on the 195's, warmed up above 30 when I left from the lot. Drank a Gose which I have 3 more cans of, I left it on top of my car, so it was super cold and didn't suck as bad this time, an acquired taste. There was weather talk in that post, don't taze me, bro.

This is the worst shape I've been in for ski season ever, and the legs feel much stronger after 7 days . That, and a slow double with a half hour line. Edit: JH rules.

Strong deduction, Watson. Early runs with light snow falling and a few poaches made for a decent day, temps warmed up and the melange of natural and unnatural kept the ice away and is forming a good base. Half hour or more in the lift line wasn't worth the wait and it never thinned out for the lunch crowd, so I peaced out at 1 and did a few laps and a soak. Ropes were dropped on about 6 more trails so some 1st trax stoke was achieved. stoke with a small ess.

Got 4th chair up and enjoyed some fresh sugary runs. Prolly got a combined 4-6" so far. Gonna head up later. Winter has arrived.

Queue up the anticipation song, just topped off all the fuels, Smuggs is shrouded in a McSnow cloud. Even got new tires last week. Stoke market is trending back up. This morning's 4 runs were nice with the a little new snow and zero crowds and crusty goggles . Smuggs alley won't get groomed, early runs will be the best. There's a risk of icing later Tuesday as it tapers off. Chili in the slow cooker.

Picked up another inch overnite, heading up for a few fitness laps. More snow coming later today. Off piste needs a foot before I'd even think about it. A consolidated foot, not a foot of fluff
