  2. It's definitely sand. There's a coupla good programs on AXSTV, "Alps from Above" and Baltic Coasts" that are really well produced and mellow to watch on a Sunday morning. The Alps program covered the sandstorms that come up from North Africa and leave a coating on the Alps. Same thing happens with volcanic ash plumes, nature is rad.
