There must be 1000 threads like this. I like Smuggs and Polar fleece bedsheets.

Sexy new stix, ya lucky bastahds. Is there such a thing as new ski smell?
-
I can't see how you can have small local hills without snow making on this side of the state. Maybe up around Erie or Pittsburgh, but not in the Pokes.
-
OT: I occasionally watch RetroTV early in the morning and this morning there was an infomercial for SilverStar Ski resort in Canada. it's the first time I saw an infomercial like that and it's strange that it was on the RetroTV channel.

So, are the liners ubertight with the footbeds inside or even when they are out?
-
That's my thinking as well. Might be worth your while to try the same liner on a half size bigger and see if that makes a difference. It's really going to depend on how much additional play you need for the instep. The liner will only stretch so far.
-
Can liners be stretched, like shoes? Maybe you can improvise something big enough to shove into the instep area to stretch it. Or wear them around the house at nite and see if that eventually stretches them. Not sure if baking the liners and walking around in them might work as well. Really, will depend on how tight they are.

Can you get into the new liner if it isn't in the boot?
-
Yeah, that gave me a shiver down the spine just looking at the picture. Could you tell what kind it was?

I get a free subscription with my Smuggs Pass. Otherwise, I wouldn't buy it. Yeah, it was a pretty ridiculous issue.

Kool, when I think about the number of companies and skis out there, I realize how few products I've tried. I'm definitely demoing Worth this season, and will try to hit some demo days this year and try some new stuff out. One advantage of checking out a lot of different skis is to appreciate the differences. I was paging thru the recent Ski issue (more like a Deer Valley infomercial with a few pages of gear review) and I got the impression that there's more emphasis in boot design this year. Ski design and materials seem to have kinda peaked out with every possible shape, size and combo of materials one can think up.

Yeah, yer from the Costanza School of Parking, I was the same way for a lot of years.

I heard the new lodge is going to have a burlesque night and the Rolls Royce Trannies are headlining. Had to use that from the other thread somehow. Sounds like a classy act.

I read good things about the cochise. Blizzard seems like it's been reinventing itself lately. I'm basing that on seeing more selection of skis in other categories.
-
That must be some high end Tranny. Hopefully that's an option and not standard with the car. Does it come with a name like Chablis or Peaches?
-
Thanks, I'm ok, it happened in the last place I'd expect about 5 blocks from my house. I was driving slow anyway, so the deer took a skid and tumble on the street after we hit and then ran off. Hoping it didn't get banged too hard and recovers, not some slow painful death. But the front end got banged up, so I'm off to the body shop tomorrow morning. Another $500 up in smoke for a deductible.

I just hit a full grown deer with my 2012 Honda Pilot around 2:30 today, and the car was driveable.
-
Well yeah, but that always happens in the Pokes. I got more snow in Philly last winter.
-
I've read a few comparisons to the set up for winter in '92 for the northeast and midatlantic. I can't recall how snowy 1992 was.

You can't work for the place and be perceived to have an unbiased viewpoint. And you can't opine that your employer's park sux. That's why they stick with marketing shtik and let the customers post up the critiques or praise. If they put out a good product that matches the marketing hype, its usually a win.

As long as she has some quality of life, why not, although living that long doesn't really interest me.
-
Yes, she's doing pretty well right now. I think she's trying to get in shape so she can toss out the hired help. She does laps with her rolling walker up and down the hallway. I fully expect her to be breaking a sweat working a speedball in a coupla weeks.
