Legend has it, once every 100 years, the Blue cloud strikes hard the 1st week of spring, always on a Wednesday starting after midnite, so there's never been a reported sighting. Artist's rendition based on oral history.

Seconded, kinda bummed I didn't get gear down here sooner for some earlier pocono laps this season. Lesson learned. Is, not was, dood! Still plenty of skiing for the next 6-8 weeks if the temps hold up north.

Gotta drive slow due to sketchy road conditions, can't be too safe especially driving down the steep into the valley. Might have to go up tonite and camp out in case roads are impassible. Gonna be deeeeeeeeeeeep!

I swear I saw 2 fat flakes on the Valley Cam! Think the mountain road will be plowed by 7AM? I don't have snow tires or chains.

Planning on heading up Tuesday or Wednesday AM to break in the new boots. Should be deep after Tuesday's huge storm.

After much searching, I pulled the trigger on the boots I wanted and for a $400 dealio. Bonus was I could use my AMEX points to pay for them. Then I picked up an Arcteryx thin puffy underlayer jacket at Buckman.s. Buy one at full sale price, get one of equal value for a $1. My buddy picked one up and gave me $100 and I paid for mine with the Buckman's card I was trying to sell a few months back. Still got $190 left on it to pick up some odds and ends. Thinking a new helmet and goggles are overdue. Time to shop for deals.

Dawn patrol skin up Morse for my last mouthful of pow. On the road home now. My face muscles actually hurt from grins.
