Not done, but I decided not to bring any gear back since I knew I was heading back north next week. I might bring some gear back after the holidays and try to hit some local hills once everything opens up. I have no trips planned for this season other than VT, so a few day trips here and there isn't out of the question. Where'd that carpool organizer guy go? The adorable one in the brown onezie. TT C6! Pretty nice start for the season so far, I can't recall any time in the past few years where we were talking about snowfall 3 times in about a week's span of time in December. Nice thing is the cold is holding up and drying out this snow. When we got the snow the other day it had a pretty high moisture content but by night fall it dried out and remained powdery.

2-3" down in philly already, good snowman building snow.

I'm thinking of bringing some gear back from VT and hitting it on the ride home next week, for a coupla hours. I think I can shoot over toward Scranton on 84 off of the NY thru.

Funny how the Elk thread devolved into fast food chicken talk. But Elk doesn't care.

I haven't eaten Popeye's since the last century. But now I'll be tempted to check it out. The wife and I usually hit KFC for lunch when we get off of 87 on our ride up north.

No boots here. I had the Cochises sold, then thought I could do better pricewise than Buckmans' online, which turned out not to be true, was going to sell Hugo my gift card, but now it makes sense to just order them at Buckman's after all, but I waited to long to figure that out, so now I get to sit around on friday waiting for you guys to post some McSnow stoke. I got a pair of old recons and skinny Machete's I left here in PA. I'm heading north next week, so no November turns for me this year.

Speaking of cell phones, I think my iphone battery is slowly crapping out, I seem to charge it more frequently. Has anyone used any of the backup battery accessories out there? Any preference? I think I lose it if I upgrade. 9 hour rides to VT go way quicker with Netflix and HBO GO. I got caught up on Curb the last ride home, and I'm queuing game of Thrones for the next ride up. Love marathon series sessions without interruptions. Makes the ride up there seem like a few hours.

The few folks I know up in the Smuggs area are ATT or VZ, I have decent connections (ATT) at my house plus I have WiFi, if I go a few miles over to Cambridge, there's zero service unless I go over to B&J coffee on 15 where they have Wifi. I haven't met anyone using T-Mob or Sprint up there. I haven't really checked out if there is a better service since the ATT is working out so far.

True, not to mention one small access road to CB.

We go thru this November ritual every year, its all part of the angst, fear, anticipation, and manic emotional swings that follow the temperature up and down. I haven't even set up the Moeghoul Dope-ler weather station yet.

Yeah, Powder Mag is on the phone wanting to buy them, that's the downside of skiing solo with an iphone and few photo skillz. Spoke to TC and we may make an early run up to Jay in the AM, chance for a burst of snow with the warm front moving up.
