Bell to bell day today. Retardedly good. A few pix later.

Poles are optional! Have a great time however it turns out.

Sharpen yer edges. Hopefully, the snow will soften up a bit as it gets a little warmer in the next few days.
-
It's been colder with windchill. I can't recall if we had a colder, non windchill day this season.
-
yes. Pretty much all I skied yesterday.

-14 at the house.

Same here, IB trails were pretty scratchy today.

I saw him about the same time, after he dyed his hair and got tats. He came into the Pyramid club in NYC and played a set new years eve. They played up at Jay Peak in the past few years.

Twilight skin lap up Sterling for those deep untracked runs........better than this morning........North wind up slope for the win! Felt like I owned the mountain, not a soul in sight.
-
puking in the notch, 4" down since last night, whole mountain is shut down for windholds. Skinned Sterling for untracked boot deep drifts. JADIP.

Flat and smooth is all my back can handle right now. I love ripping groomers to mix it up. I hit a few bumps the other day and my back regretted it.

We got a few slarvy inches for some fresh tracks overnight. Warmed up over freezing today, skied 5 runs of smooth cord. Freeze thaw weather into the weekend. Sun is stronger and out longer.

It's been an exceptionally great snow season up here. we got 3-6" forecasted for Wed/Thurs.

After a pre-dawn deliberation about suing mother nature for negligent tree placement or calling her to discuss the issue, I opted instead to catch 3rd chair on a bluebird morning and ski some powdery/packed powder groomers with minimal discomfort.

Thanks, I've been doing the Wim Hof method for 3 months now, and actually laid in the snow on my back for about 15 minutes, then took a hot shower and went to bed. I credit it for helping me regain control of my breathing after impact as well. Most of the pain from yesterday has reduced to about a 1 foot diameter area in the middle of my back in the thoracic zone. A plus is the fact that I had some kinda pinched nerve in my neck that was shooting electrical impulses down the left side of my neck into the left shoulder. Not painful, just a weird sensation. That's gone. Poor man's chiropractic treatment. I plan to get a few early runs in before driving Ms. Daisy to her nail appointment at noon. No more beers if I'm skiing trees. I feel pretty lucky that I avoided serious injury.

PTSD? I hit a tree this afternoon flying off the lip of a traverse, judo rolled to avoid a full frontal or head collision and took the full brunt of the hit on the left side of my back into a partial tree well. Knocked the wind out of me and I couldn't breathe for about 30 seconds. Took me 10 minutes to extricate myself from that due to my ski being buried under my ass in 2 ft of snow and couldn't use my poles to get up because the snow was so DEEEEEEEEEEEEP! Managed to ski out and do 2 more groomer runs. Came home and spent 2 hours plowing snow before my back cramped up. Ate some Celebrex, a 500mg Naprosyn and a shot of Jaeger, Slept for 3 hours. Back is sore as hell. Didn't piss or cough up any blood, so I'll prolly dial it back and ski groomers in the AM unless I can't move. I'll report back tomorrow if I had any nightmares about trees. More likely nightmares about Zero Gravity Madonna DIPA which I drank on the lift ride up.

Totals are going to far exceed the forecast. absolutely puking right now.

Yeah, Mueller already knew that.

3-5" and possibly more overnight, then we got the super snow moon Tues and Wednesday nite. Jobless in VT.

How are the knees? Looks like Bumpalooza for ya.

Breath taking shots. Doesn't look like VT, PA or CO for that matter. Eye-talians get food right, I'm as jelly about the chow as I am about the location. Safe travels.
