They're all more than 100 miles from home. Toast started the thread low key and can build up a crescendo. Nick/Glenn's thread made a huge splash in the first few pages before the trip even started. They set the bar too high raising expectations to unrealistic levels. I think they intentionally played us and the trip was way better than they led us to believe. Slow day here in the House of Moe, I'm on troll patrol.

Ski/ride stoke and hot tubs filled with coeds squealing would be a good start.

Stayed with a friend in Alpine Haven that's renting a place for the season with a few other guys and works at Jay.

Got back about an hour ago and still hummin with alpenglow on the brain after 4 days of steeze in the NEK. Much powder fell, then more fell. Highlights include 10+ inches on Wednesday which meant a mandatory 1 day extension into Friday. Did a hike to the Skyhouse (Top o the tramline) Monday afternoon. Tram, Bonny and Flyer were on windhold all day, so the morning was off the triple snorting powder in Timbuktu with several runs down to the dip in untracked dry dust. Afternoon I booted to the top and for a fleeting moment, I owned the top of the mountain, floating back down thru Valhalla after a sammich and some chocolate under the Skyhouse. Tuesday I lapped around the tramside and headed back to Timbuktu for more untracked goodness, finishing the day with another run to the dip with a car waiting. Wednesday the snow came early, and it came harder as the day wore on, 2"/hr fluff. Skied with a coupla TGR guys on Wednesday, a few pix of us in Timbuktu. Thursday was a solo session around the mountain, ending up with a tour up Gilpin for ~800 - 1000' of untouched, pristine pow with other mags. Got up before sunrise this AM and hit Gilpin for a short solo skin for about 400" worth of vert and headed back to Philly. Prolly the best 4 days I've had at Jay after 4 previous trips. A couple shots of me in Timbuktu on Wednesday. Umby from TGR I'll prolly do a little edit this weekend and post up some more stoke.

MonJAy was good. Only ran the triple. Other lifts were on windhold. Pretty sure they were just being cheap. Gusts weren't that strong. Snowed all day. Hiked up to the Sky house via Vermonter from the Montrealer merge and skied untouched Top to bottom for the hilite of the day. Still snowing, got at least another 5" during the day.

Got a hookup for a crashpad and $20 off lift tix coupons for Jay. Jay it is for at least Mon/Tues, maybe migrate south for wed/thurs.

Headin out Sunday, destination unknown, either MRV or WF on the radar.
