I'm in blaze mode, gonna crash pretty soon. I woke up 2 hours too late for the eclipse and 2 hours too early to get outta bed this AM.
-
What time? we'll prolly roll in around 9.

Looks like Win by 1 vote, test run tomorrow at Blue. I gotta remember to keep my head back before dropping the bar on the 6 pk, if it wasn't my phone and head, seeing some goof with my rig smash his phone and crush his skull on the lift would keep everyone laughing for days. Stoked to ski in PA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya know what.. I feel like starting shit again

The road to Moe-branding is littered with brain farts and train wrecks.
-
The Moe-tel has no vacancies this weekend, sorry baby Jeebus! We're headin for NH on Sunday, hopefully right in the thick of it for sweet fresh turns on Monday. Will be up there until NY eve. If the test run of the Moe-bilevision helmet cam works out tomorrow, look forward to some epic gaper POV from New Hampster!

Still early, but models indicate midatlantic and New England might get snow out this current round of Pacific storms coupled with a system that's been spinning off the atlantic coast. WOOT!!
-
Uh, that storm is headed this way. Atlantic offshore storm dropped 10" on Cape Cod, snow in the Berkshires, and may remain offshore spinning snow into New England while the storm out west should be arriving in the Northeast/midatlantic by Xmas weekend. Merry Xmas and hopefully one filled with snowy goodness. Still early, don't wanna jinx it!

Ditto, but haven't mounted them yet.

I like the way you think. This set up did not involve drilling the helmet or compromising the shell in any way. The Gyro Fuse vents happen to line up well for this rig. Here's a few pics looking down the vent and the "footy" that holds it in place from the inside of the helmet.

Sounds like a great outing, rummy. Thanks for the update.

That's a legit observation, the best I could do is go with a 90 degree angle piece, so at least it's a flat surface that would come in contact with the noggin. I put some padding between the metal and the head.

Very cool, Core. Put yer name on the list for JF, maybe something opens up eventually.

Shouldn't be too hard to pick me out on Wednesday. Fail or Win? Used some stuff laying around the shop and rigged this up for the iphone for video.

There was snow, prettyskied out, coupla small branches peeking thru, I cruised thru them twice, wasn't worth the price of admission so far. More snow and more glade and they got something going.

It was the fun zone today. Paradise opened at 2, we we're coming up the 6pk and saw the peeps lining up as they were getting ready to open it up. We schussed off the lift and took 1st run down with the crowd and I noticed that they didn't rope off or lollipop Dreamweaver. Next 4 runs we're down 'weaver over the whales in the fresh snow. On the last weaver run, a redcoat was standing there off to the side gapin'. We blew past him and he got all Barney Fife with the waving arms and fumbling for his whistle. Otherwise, the snow was decent, we lapped Challenge, Main and Lazy. I spent a little time testing the lower back taking a few jumps in the park and by the end of the day was getting some good air off the Falls. Prolly heading up for another session next week before xmas. Tried the "glades" on Lazy......is it me or is there only about 20 feet worth to ski? lulz. Still a good 1st effort by Blew to try and expand their horizons beyond groomerland.

Me and Fred got 4 runs on ungroomed dreamweaver and 1st run down paradise. Stoke in the Poke.
-
Philly has an angry inch, what say ye northern brethren? Any sign of hope?
-
Thanks, Rummy. We're gonna hit Blew instead. I'll be up there soon enough.
-
Thanks, G. Going strong here as I approach the 1/2 century mark next May. The photo album style is a little corny, I think I'll try something else the next time. Definitely steep "enough", and just enough to keep it fun. Western territory are more challenging, longer and a bit steeper. Since I skied so little territory, the best I can say is Blue or Elk can stand up to Snowshoe trailwise.

SNOWING HERE!!! HOPEFULLY HEADED UP TO THE Pokeys!
-
Hit the dunes at mach looney and that base will get nicely structured.

Sounds about right, RD, unless they get a magical dump tonite, I think were headed to Blue in the AM or possibly Blue Knob. Nice ticket price, and if you fly down the turnpike, I think it's doable in 4 hours.
