Consider it done. When you going? PS: We should hang and down a few beers, if yer ever biking in Roxborough, stop in.

Maybe we should do a mini PASR sporting clays outing, I'm game. Great place in Jersey for that and they should be re-opened now. Alternatively, there's a place near A-town or Q-town that has an urban setup for clays. Don't know the name, but maybe Jeff knows it.

Got the last pair of '10 ARG's from Getboards. com this AM for $489. El Stokerino..........

Quite a few season passholders are local and appear to be doing well living in Lackawanna county, lotsa Nat gas lease $$$ for locals if they own land. Secondly, and more importantly, I don't think the family that owns Elk gives a ratz ass about turning Elk into a 3 ring circus like Scamelback. I'm pretty sure he still gets a small royalty for every VW sold in the US, or so I've heard.

J-Hole is in my sights this season, I don't think I'm taking any club trips out west this year, the selection is kinda meh. They have a trip planned to Aspen, but I ain't feelin it. I'd rather hit Silverton or Wolf Creek if I'm going to CO.

I'm waiting another 2 years for the next shoe to drop in the real estate market. Still too early to bargain shop.

I had 11 days there last season. For all the years I've gone there I have yet to see ONE person tree skiing. Someone posted last season about the awesome tree skiing. I told him to post pix/video. He never returned. I call bullshit on that. The few lines I've seen near any trees amounted to 2-3 trees near the edge of a run or a few lame lines in the flats. Unless I actually see proof, again, I call bullshit. Ski Patrol is pretty tightass about going outta bounds. I poached a powder run under the double ONCE, and hightailed it to the midlodge because a patroller was riding up the lift as I was shin deep cutting the first line.

Elk rocks in an old school way. I'll be double digitting there again this season.

Unfinished biz from last year = Saddleback and Sugarloaf. More MRV trips, only made it there twice last season. Looks like Aspen area for CO. Haven't thought about other western trips yet. Pretty much the same eastern hills from last year, maybe Magic and Smuggs to mix it up. Definitely another winter camp n ski to kick off the season.

I'm back and burned out. Got to Jay around 9PM Wed and met up with Arewolf from TGR. Had dinner and beers/shots at the Tower Bar in the new Tramhaus Lodge (pretty sweet setup) and ended up doing about 8 shots and had about 5 beers. I shoulda known better, it was a full moon out. Met a few folks at the bar and had a safety meeting in their room in the Lodge. Room was nice, comes with a kitchenette. Long story short, the head started spinning and I exited for the car. Spent the next hour blowing chow outside my car, I was seriously in pain. Not sure what time it was when I finally crawled into my bag and passed out. Woke up with a spinning head and half in the bag, but made it for coffee and a few granola bars and into the lift line. Met a few other guys and made my first run down UN. Weather was primo, right around freezing, snow was deep and soft. Arewolf and Crank gunned down ahead of me while I was still getting my head on straight at the top. Took it easy for the first hour or 2, alternating between groomed and ungroomed until I got my ski legs on. Trees were amazingly good, did Timbuk once and almost kissed a tree on the way down, so I stuck to Kitt's and Kitzbuhl which I was more familiar with. Free lunch with a lift ticket was a bonus. Feeling pretty beat, I stuck to Haines and Kitt's for the rest of the day. Called it a day around 3:30 and went to the car for a nap. Woke up and had a flat bread pizza at the Tower bar and passed out by 8PM. No booze, no nothing. Up bright and early to another sweet morning of skiing. UN, Haines, and some of the other ungroomed areas were getting scraped off so I played on the Jet (groomed) and Haines which was bumped up. Called it a day by 12, had my free lunch and made the 9 hour ride home.

Got back from Utah late last nite, I extended my stay by a day to take advantage of the big dump we got Monday into Tuesday. We arrived last Thursday nite to less than stellar conditions, even after the 100" they had gotten recently, once the sun baked the snow, it wasn't worth going off piste until after lunch once it softened up. We skied Snowbird and made a few trips over to Alta thru the "Basshole", the tunnel that takes you over to Alta via Mineral Basin. The good news was the solid powder days on Tues/Wednesday. Mineral basin was closed Tuesday for slide control and opened up Wednesday AM. We stayed at the Cliff lodge with the club, then I managed to bunk with a friend that was staying at the Lodge at Snowbird. He was staying until Saturday for some PSIA clinics being held out there this week. Worked out well for me and was worth the extra $ to change my flight. Going thru the tunnel Me on Tuesday Me again My huck line in mineral basin on Wednesday Getting the snow the last few days made the trip memorable and a great season ender for me.
