When it comes to epic powder days there is no redundancy. Awesome timing for this trip, looks like the motherlode!

I want to thank the staff at Elk, Dave from Security, and whoever may have turned in my Arcteryx shell and fleece vest from our last trip up on the 8th for their integrity. In the rush to get our gear packed up into the car so we could move the car out of the loading area at the midstation lodge, I left my shell and fleece vest in the lodge and drove off. I didn't even know it was missing until I started packing for our trip Monday. I called Elk Monday afternoon fully expecting someone to tell me they didn't have it, but had nothing to lose to rule out that possibility. Imagine my pleasant surprise to be proven wrong. Dave from security even made a special effort to conceal my jacket in the security office to avoid "shoppers" from going into the office and claiming it or giving a heads up to a 3rd party to walk in and pretend its theirs. We hear enough stories about gear getting lifted from resorts, I thought it was important to post up something positive that occurs but goes unnoticed. We're really feeling at home at Elk and if any Elksters read this, I want to thank all of them for consistently making our stays there memorable, inviting and worthwhile.

Nice to meet you and your friend, Rummy, Elk was a good time as usual, Chippewa got some fresh blown on it Thursday nite, so it was the go to slope for us most of Friday. Tunk had a few lines on the skier's right half of the slope that still had some decent snow, but there was a lot of scraped off areas that the legs didn't like by Friday. The groomers were in great shape, we got a light dusting off and on but no significant snowfall. Place was nice n quiet Tues and Thurs. Wild wednesday saw a little more of a crowd, but no lift lines to contend with. Dad put in a few bunny runs on Wed/Thurs but bailed on Friday due to the crowds and Lehigh was closed all day. Met up with some ski club members and did runs with them as well.

Called up there last nite around 10 and they were getting light rain at Chet's. Did any of that precip turn to snow?? Gonna be there Tues-Friday this week, rummy, we'll be campin out in the mid station lodge, bringin my dad up as well, he's been working out for the past 2 weeks for his season debut! 74 year old ski stoke is priceless. I can't wait to see what kinda "layers" he's gonna wear. ROFLMAO!!! I'm guessing sweat sox and all cotton sweat shirts and thermals! Gonna let him wear my old helmet.

More ghey gaper/poser equipment. Good thing anyone buying that doesn't ski or ride. That's basically an accessory for a ski rack on a Benz that rolls around Aspen and never sees a slope.

Skied less than 6 days, pretty sure they are '08's, only skied on them last season, mounted once with large Dukes, I'm keeping the bindings. Looking for $250 OBO. No damage anywhere IIRC, tuned once. I like them, but I need more length........skiwise.

It was good, they blew some styrofoam on Barney's last nite, but the seeding is a little off, imo, they shoulda spaced the bumps a little better. The parks look great, they were moving piles around on Switchback? today and the set ups look legit. Nice little fire pit they put in as well at the valley lodge. Got crowded by 10.

Got up there by 9 and Blue did not blow, we met and skied with Angry Hugo, I took 3 spills on Challenge's bumps, Caught some air off the park jumps, left the mountain right around 3, Stopped at Wawa's for gas and a pee, all in all it was fairly steezeeeee... The end.
-
I clicked it but it won't open. So, I don't know, no, and no. But a steeze on skis always aims to pleez. Got a foot of fresh yet?
-
Great vid quality, conditions look good up there, I'm tempted to pick up one of those cams.

Headin up bright n early, any other PASRonis hitting it in the AM?

It's only ghey if they got the suite with one double bed. Looks like you guys are livin the dream with some good chow, wine and friends. Malozzi's just jealous.

I'll say a little prayer to Ullr, exact same thing happened to us, it dumped 3-4 feet thursday into friday and delayed our flight out Saturday into Sunday. Maybe you'll pick up an extra day at the local hill on the airline's dime! Can't wait to see some more pix n vid.

Cut a piece of the coors lite case out and put the sticker on it when you turn it in, I heard Elk is pissed that peeps are showing up with stickers and no beer carton cut out. Supposedly the local distributor is pissed as well and may discontinue it.

Timely post, thanx, we're tossing around WF as a possible destination this week or back to the MRV.

Nice vid, nice narrative, nice digs, nice room number, nice pics. Keep stoke alive!

Really nice winter pics, sounds looks like you had a good trip up north!

Lift line crowd was minimal, we never waited more than a few people deep at the quad all day. I called it a day around 1:30 on Friday, we hung at the bar for a few hours with some friends and then headed back to Philly around 5. Great conditions for sure. A few pics are attached, didn't take many because I was just up there and I'm getting lazier with pics. It's almost time to get a helmet cam.....
