LE dropped another 1-2" overnite and continues to snow lightly this AM. Grey brimmed gyro helmet, orange jacket, black Carrharts. Out.

Elk's conditions are primo, Tunk is ungroomed and they're putting a fresh blanket on every nite into winterfest on Friday. All the trails are fresh and soft, LE all day prolly added an inch+. cold about 17' all day. Stoked for tomorrow. Out.

Anyone up in that neck of the woods kindly report on any snowfall overnite and today. Elk's website is pretty weak in that department and they don't have a webcam.

Taking decent pix the 1st 2 days was pointless due to poor visibility and yesterday was around 0' until later in the AM. I was wearing glove liners and taking off 2 pairs of gloves was not in the cards. I managed a few shots. Shots from North (mt. Shout out to the beezies at the BK off exit 55 on 287 South. They hand built 2 killer whoppers for me, 2 for $4! Looked almost as good as the picture !

Quality ski day in the MRV, snowed throughout the day, crowds were minimal, Heaven's gate was shut down for wind. 5 degrees, gusty winds, lite snow still falling. Knee deep+ in some of the trees off Middle earth near the top, first legit faceshot for the season. No pics taken from the hill, too cold to mess around with gloves, and the iphone's a PITA to deal with when using the ipod, not to mention the lens is cracked and I don't need moisture seeping in. Visibility was limited at times anyway, so pic quality would have been weak. Hitting MRG in the AM then back home. Noreaster for this weekend?

Did a few run off superbravo lift spent the morning on castlerock. Middle earth and the other runs are $$, trees are sweet. Pb&j, Ginger beer and a safety meeting in the car now. Out.

Got up here around 6. Dinner and bevvys at the hydeway, now partying with the owner of the slidebrook. Found my campsite for the next few days. High hopes for some dumpage mon/tues. Feeling no pain now........

Coverage is fairly decent, and I just called MRG, nothing coming out of the skies, ie, no rain. Snowcam shows very thin crowds today. Gonna camp, got a lift pass for 'bush for 63$ w/ my VT travel card. Outside chance I'll head up to Jay Sunday, ski it Mon if they are reporting anything worth the extra mileage, then ski Bush tues, and MRG Wed. All plans subject to change.

Headin up Sunday AM, e-ordered a 'bush lift pass with my VT travel card for $63, hitting that Tues, hitting MRG Monday. Looks better than 50/50 there'll be some fresh covering over the skat falling this weekend by then.

Elk's site is saying snow. I have my doubts, anyone in that neck of the woods post up what's goin on.
