Approach into Mud City Sunday 11/29 62 lbs on my back, including pack weight. Turns out we needed almost everything I lugged uphill for almost 4 miles. The cabin Front entrance to cabin, interior shots'll be posted when I get them off my friend's camera. flash was required. Creek and waterfall behind the cabin Awesome outhouse Testing it out. Mission accomplished. Actually gave a play by play on the walkie talkies and ended up getting recorded on my buddy's iphone. Nixon had tapes. Now I've been taped. Baked while swinging an axe cutting wood. Still got all my limbs.

Thursday could be rain, most foul.

Update from kmart.... We'd nite and Thursday had heavy rains in the MRV. Rain geared it early Thursday AM at MRG off rt17 and hiked in at the Rat. Made a run to the bottom where ride was waiting. Wet and sloppy but fun. Checked out some kayaks and think I like a liquidlogic. Motored down to kmart and got a room at chalet killington. Literally a dog house. Got zombied at Moguls across the street, caught 1st gondys up today at 9am. Skied til 2. Good manmade, lift line run under triple was bumpin up, little more crowded after lunch. Decided to head back to Philly today. May be heading back up as soon as mon or tues. Forecast looks ok. Out.

I'll post up pix when we get back, had a fucking great time camping in the woods, found a cabin with an outhouse that's not on the park maps OR the USGS maps. Sooooooooooooooooo...........we're qualifying it as a stash. I'll post pix, if you ID it, I'll confirm. Spent Sunday thru Tuesday in the mountains, came down and headed for MRV, spending 2 nites at the Hydeaway Inn in Waitsfield. Skied Kmart today, had lunch at the "Tailgate", conditions were manmade groomed, small crowds, tons of runs, Ganjala to the triple and up and down all day. Weather has been disappointing so we plan on poaching MRG early tomorrow, checking out of the Hydeaway, and going ghetto in Rutland until Sunday. Further reports to follow..............................if anyone is up at Kmart Thursaday thru Sunday, call me at 215-990-6975 and we'll hook up. Signing off....................

We're leaving Sunday, hiking/packing to Beaver Meadow lodge less than a mile from the top of Smuggs, campin a few days and waiting for the goods delivery starting Tuesday. Most likely target is Jay cloud effect. We have no return date set.......................I'm busting out the MRG snow I saved from last year, cuttin a rail and snorting it for brain freeze, then planting the rest in VT and watch it multiply...............

Is it only after the 1st of the year, or can they be used before? I ended up not being able to use them up because I ended up getting in for free once and getting another for a lift delay. I figured even if I had used the daily discounts available it was still a good deal, but it's be nice to be able to use it once they open. Most likely I'll pick one up.

I'm gonna need 3; 2 for myself and one for the gear. I'll knock out the dividers.......this could be big...........didn't Babs want to put up condos?

Are the lockers big enough to sleep in? Having a place to stay slopeside cuts down on my commute.

Interesting question. He has to race for the US, so could he race "independently" from the team as a solo act? Not sure, but I doubt it. The team is responsible for qualifying athletes to represent and I'm not sure how he'd be able to bypass that process. I think there was a thread that talked about that during the Italy olympics on the board.

Sweet, I hope he stays healthy. Added stoke for Whistler this winter, ..........

That whole ordeal on AZ is the funniest thing that's happened there for the past 5 months of flatlining considering why they banned you. the GSS threads are outscoring the 9/11 threads. Even funnier is the anti-steeze crowd is on those threads amping up the post count, ROFLMAO!!!!! That's a lot of drama over nothing.

I aim high on the coming season hitlist, if I can knock out 90% of it, it's a win. I missed out on a Maine tour and the annual WF trip last year. Maine got 86'd because the free accomodations fell through and WF got scrapped last minute for MRV because they got the big dump. Fresh pow trumps every time. Never made it to SNO either, drove past it twice coming home from Elk. If I'm driving that far, I'm going to Elk apparently.

There's a few peeps going in January, so the more the merrier if anyone's out there. I haven't booked it yet, so I better get on the ball before she finds out it isn't Arizona!

I missed getting up there last season, so this will be an added bonus when we go. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SKI SEASON!!!!!!!!!!
