ha ha ha it was tall not 60 foot thick, it was probably a 3 foot diameter though where it was over the road. Stretched the lines so much it splintered a telephone pole about 50 yards down the road. I thought it was a tree that was bent but as I looked up I realised it was a utility pole. yikes. get out there and kick some ass met ed, I need me some flyers hockey tonight.

I lost it at noon just down the road from bear creek. On my way into work I had to turn around as a 60 foot or so thick tree fell on the lines and completely blocked the road. Also saw a limb take out a power line as I was driving, just following far behind some guy taking it easy when I see a bright blue flash in the woods up ahead. I thought it was a cop or something but no it was just electrical flash lighting up the pretty white woods. haha good times. All I know is I'm gonna be pissed if I don't have the power back by 7 for the Flyers haha. Oh and for a snow update, I'm just south of allentown like right down the road from BC. Woke up to snow already covering the ground around 9am, been puking hard since(the snow, not me)and I'd guess I have at least 3 inches in the backyard already probably more.

I'll be making some turns in the backyard no matter how much falls. Gotta do something to take my mind of that flyers loss to the jets last night.

I was riding ON3P before ON3P was cool Way to support Scott and the boys up there but no need to be all hipster about it, Dougs not really a jibber so I doubt he spends as much time on NS as you or I. Awesome that you got a sweet pair of skis but no need to be that guy haha. On a related note, when I feel the need to pick up some rockered pow skis some day it will most likely be ON3P. Don't think I'm making any gear purchases this year though unless I find a cheap snowboard set up.
-
Tempting. I am thinking about hooking up a snowboard set up this year. Total snowboard noob here, but how do snowboards run for length vs height?? I ski on 177 or so, would this thing be way too short?? I'd call myself maybe an intermediate boarder.

Yeah I was the one who got that nasty email response from Elk Management, to be fair I sent them a fairly nasty email to start it. I don't care what you're feeling on skiing with backpacks is but it still grinds my gear that they don't allow it there. The tree skiing there should definitely be opened though, it's arguably one of the best mountains in PA as far as terrain goes. Looks like they even went as far as to plant some new trees in front of that little boulder drop way over skiers left that I noticed this year. It really sucks, I'd probably visit that place 4x as often if they allowed tree skiing.

also thinking of doing some in the black and baby blue combo to match the logo at the top of the site. thoughts?

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that you must have never been to Spring Mtn.
-
Also, here's the flyers sticker if anyone is interested.
-
Look back a few pages for pics of the sticker sheets I have for available colors, but yes I do have an orange and yellow that are pretty bright. As it's saved now the sticker is 7 or 8 inches I think, but I could scale it up or down a bit. Wouldn't wanna go too much smaller as the cutting would get tight.
-
Alright, totally fell asleep on this. Anyone still interested?? Also lately I've been putting out some decent flyers die cuts, I could send out a few of those as well if anyone is interested. Flyers sticker is a legit downloaded logo vector file so it's right on the money, about 2" x 4" black with orange center.

I heard they dumped the race program because BC is going all park next season. There won't be one trail without features for them to set gates on. Gonna be a massive booter on sasquatch.
-
Can you go into more detail about those park kids taking out six smaller race kids early last season?? What did you witness??

I played hooky on friday and got in on this as well. Had some free passes from a ski the east showing in bethlehem earlier this year. I took my buddy who was a first time alpine skier. Fantastic conditions, pretty much light snow up until 11 or noon, then great sun and pleasant temps. I spent the morning teaching him, then took a couple runs on my POS snowboard. Switched back to skis around 2pm and finished the day with some black diamonds as he really picked it up fast. Actually it was his idea to take on the moguls at the end of the day hahaha. So yea if ya saw a gaper getting thrashed in the moguls around 4ish, that was my kayak buddy giving it his all for his first day on skis. Overall great day for sure, especially for the low low price of FREE haha. Felt like there was almost nobody there.

Snack shack at the top was the shit back then too. I still like the new resort better though.
-
major procrastination going on at the sticker table here. My boss wants me to cut out letters for our front door though so I imagine I can bang out a few more sometime this or next week. I haven't forgotten though.
-
Major icing up on the hill by bear creek, limbs falling and sagging everywhere.
-
Yeah I see what ya mean, I guess it's just that we live in an area where people love their groomers and corduroy. If ya want pow around here i guess you gotta duck into the woods a bit, too bad all the resorts around here try so hard to keep people out of the woods It would be nice to see em only groom like one half of the slope or something so you at least had a choice.
-
Upon webcam viewing it appears that sasquatch is indeed ungroomed. That's all you really need IMO.
-
They could at least leave it on the three steep runs they have. I'm not there so I don't know what they groomed. I've been there on a powder day though and really they have to groom because anything more than 6 inches and the mountain isn't even steep enough to get speed. Last time I was there for a day like this I caught one of the first chairs on B and hiked straight over to sasquatch, and even that was kinda slow.
-
About 9-10 inches on top of the hereford hill here by bear creek. Backyard is prime for sledding and riding. Never thought I'd say it but, too bad I'm heading to Northern VT tomorrow haha. Bolton Valley here I come.
-
total on the truck this morning seemed to be about 5 inches or so of light fluff. I get a ton of weird drifting in the yard though, I could probably find a spot or two where it's 12 haha. Right down the street from bear creek.
-
Why so defensive, you're not the lifty that totaled my truck are you????? Rapchak or something his name was. Stupid kid. I'll take overzealous attendants over out of control liftys any day.
-
Do ya usually ride with your cell phone?? PM me your number and I'll call ya and just meet you outside the yurt or something.

I am covering a shift for someone and will be working friday night 2pm til 10pm.
