Lower cascade as in right next to tubing??? Not sure, typically its just where we put some small jumps. What would YOU like to see there??? It's kind of skinny, I think that's why they don't usually put rails there. I could suggest anything you wanna see, we are kind of all about trying things this year that we haven't typically done in the past years. I haven't been up since saturday and most of that was setting up for the jam so honestly I'm not super familiar with whats out there right now.

nevermind they beat me to it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Parks-at-Bear-Creek/260270460087

I figured, let me see if I can get someone to put it on a public page for BC or The Parks.

Rail jam is gonna be pretty awesome I must say. I'm kinda pissed I can't stay and watch as I'll be working the morning but heading to the real job to get some overtime money while the jam is actually happening. Hope someone gets it on film. One word......Closeout. Also, if anyone on here knows a Gregory Strisovsky, I found his season pass on the hill after hours last night. It will be in guest services come saturday morning. Maybe it fell off as it was weighed down by the past 3 years of season passes he also had jammed into the rubber case haha. Please be patient with us about black bear til we get to rework it after the jam. Some stuff came out.
-
I'll pass that on. I think black bear is gonna get some work in the days after the jam.
-
That's kinda like the kids that get upset when we are raking a lip and get pissed cause they can't hit that feature for one run. It is what it is, it's one night that we will have new features at the bottom of BB that will be closed off. I'm sure they will leave a way around so you can still ride the top of BB. Then after the comp saturday all will be back to normal. We can't have people hitting the jam setup the day before and it would be cutting it close to make it all friday night. Sorry for the inconvenience. On the upside you should have a brand spanking new cascade to ride Friday night. So there's that.
-
yup. more room and workable snow. Then when it's over people won't have to deviate from Black Bear if they wanna hit the contest setup at the end of their run.
-
Sounds like some of cascade got a makeover last night, not sure what went in but it was switched up a little and the rest of cascade will be worked over tonight. Black bear is the same for now and tonight some rails down the bottom will be pulled to make room for the rail jam set up. Thursday night will see the set up for the jam built on lower black bear and it will not be open to hit friday so we can save it and make it pretty for the jam on saturday. After the jam it will be open to anyone riding black bear until we switch up BB again in the near future. Hope that helps guys. Enjoy and stay warm out there.

Thanks man, I like a good challenge.

super low key. like super super low key. internet pastor, married under the woodwork between our living room and dining room, beers and pizza and cannolis for the reception. about as low key as it gets. Her third marriage and I'm not one for fancy shit. At least I get to sit down to dinner every night right next to where we tied the knot. Beats some pricey church I'll never go back to.
-
Actually I married her in early January.

Haha hottest MILFs in the state, BC needs to use that to advertise their lodge for sure. I can neither confirm nor deny that statement..........I do like to sample the lodge food from time to time though. Things are gonna look a little different this week for sure. Don't know exactly what is going in or coming out but there is talk of builds several nights this week on several trails. Then thursday night we are building for the jam. Heads up on friday there will be a section closed til saturday for the jam, I'm guessing next to tubing where they usually hold the jams but don't quote me on it. Oh and if the vintage ripper that stopped and asked us to put in a small jump last thursday night cause he was teaching his daughter 180's is on here.......well dude your wish is our command. New family park mini jump down at the bottom just for you and the little lady. Don't be afraid to stop and chat if you like or don't like anything about the park. We will try to work it in or pass the word so it gets done.

Indeed the 7th of Feb. Hit up BC's facebook for all the details. I think they were posted somewhere around the 25th or so.

I'm bringing a trash bag to work Saturday morning either way, AKA "the park crew poncho".

Good to hear the setup is going over pretty well with everyone. Was nice to bump into ya there Justin. I honestly only stopped in to shoot some pool but totally forgot they have leagues thursday, that's the same team I shot 9 ball for last session and we took 1st in the division only to go to tri cups and lose. I wouldn't call myself a pool hustler or shark, but some of the people I play against might ha. I am currently shooting 2 nights a week on 2 different leagues, was three nights a week not too long ago. Pretty soon I'll be down to one though, marriage and step kids and all that. Sorry I couldn't hang out and chat more but I couldn't play pool and it's kind of a long drive back to Birdsboro so... Maybe I'll make it up to Blue once this year to meet some more of you guys up there. Little heads up, I think we have a rail jam coming up but not sure when. I know you guys like to come down from blue and take our prizes home with ya.

i have no idea what time happy hour is at the grille, that place is too rich for my blood. Just call and harass the ladies at the front desk, they can answer better than I can. if ya see anybody pushing a rake after 4ish stop by and say hello, i'm the one with a beard. You're the guy that's like 6'3" and 145 pounds right?? I'd wear my nametag that says josh but management thought it a good idea to get us tags that are magnets. some of us actually move when we work, i almost lost that thing the first time i tried to push the rake.
-
Also, we've been trying to kick extra ass all around this year, but we have an especially work happy crew on thursday nights so if you don't like how something is riding or want us to work anything over in any way just stop and say something while you see us out on a rake run.
-
haha not sure what you mean by all terrain??? The back bowls are out of bounds and I doubt 3 inches will be enough to ski the woods haha. But seriously now, we have been 100% on all trails for like over a week now and I've already seen some brave soul tracks through the usual "sidecountry" spots between trails here and there. I wouldn't go in there, but hey some people hate theirs skis and love the woods I guess. Also I will be working thursday nights so please don't throw snowballs at the terrain park crew ha. If you stay til 9 I will have a beer with ya at the grill or longswamp if you feel like chatting with a PASR poster. Might even teach ya a thing or two about pool if you feel like wandering over to LST and wanna play a game of 8 or 9 ball. Good to see ya guys considering bear on a day that doesn't award you with prizes for shredding so hard.

Just trying to connect you guys with what's going on in the park. Feel free to post anything here, I'll try my best to get it addressed.

Thanks for the pics man, thats more than BC put on their own FB page haha. Guess the stairs are gonna wait til the next build. At least we got the stepover jumps.
-
Build sounding like it went well last night. I know they had plans of putting in the mailbox to stairs among many other new features. I sadly can't say exactly what all went in as I only stayed for the tear down due to already working 15 hours at 2 jobs and having to wake back up to work at 730 this morning. Webcams should give you an idea, although I don't think they have the controllable webcams like they used to.
-
I'll also float the idea of some kind of up-flat-down battleshipish feature in box or wide rail form. I'll be on the build tonight so I'll report back tomorrow on how this all went down and what got done.
-
something to stairs, gotcha gonna talk about some step overs too if he's thinking about reworking the jumps.
-
noted and noted. We almost put the stairs in last time so maybe that can be done this time.
