Stowe - undeniably killer terrain, a bit pricey. But, if yer going to go 'there's only one Stowe'. Jay rules if you can handle trees, bumps and, bumps in the trees. And, it can be a bit chilly in Feb.

Correct. Think the tickets at the Springs are $30+ those weekends.

To get the most vert/hour - esp on the weekend & holidays: Park in the North Lot, head skiers left for the detach 6-pack - hit the stuff skiers left until you have to wait 4-5 minutes. Roll over to the North Face chair, slow but, uncrowded until 10:30 or so. Break for lunch at the Tahoe lodge on top - head to the front side after chow. The masses are now discovering the terrain you just tracked-out. The stuff on the front has consistant pitch, not a ton of vert but, worth it. Stowe & Tyrol chair rarely crowd.
