  1. Stowe - undeniably killer terrain, a bit pricey. But, if yer going to go 'there's only one Stowe'. Jay rules if you can handle trees, bumps and, bumps in the trees. And, it can be a bit chilly in Feb.
  2. Correct. Think the tickets at the Springs are $30+ those weekends.
  3. Hidden Valley opens for riding & skiing 11/28 - 11/30. 9am to 4pm. Lift tickets are free!

    To get the most vert/hour - esp on the weekend & holidays: Park in the North Lot, head skiers left for the detach 6-pack - hit the stuff skiers left until you have to wait 4-5 minutes. Roll over to the North Face chair, slow but, uncrowded until 10:30 or so. Break for lunch at the Tahoe lodge on top - head to the front side after chow. The masses are now discovering the terrain you just tracked-out. The stuff on the front has consistant pitch, not a ton of vert but, worth it. Stowe & Tyrol chair rarely crowd.

  8. All right ... let's include 7 Springs (and their 450k+ skier visits) and, call it ski areas of the Laurel Highlands region of PA.
