CUTE without the E from the Team?
xkinkrider03x replied to method9455's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
So hey, how about settle your disputes some other place, as the thread will get locked if you keep up with the personal attacks! I agree to disagree. They were not finished with the designing/fabricating of the features. It was PL's plan to work throughout the season to make plenty of options and adding many new jibs to the big Boulder park throughout the time of the season. But yes, It was stupid to work under no contract. But Im sure tehre is more to it that we simply do not know. -

That was quite the rant, and I completely respect it. Glad you chimed in! -

Alright. so to you guys who have said that the park doesnt get built off of two people... The PL guys are the ones who construct all the jibs, and mountain creek shows, that they know how to set them up. It takes a good rail to complete the nice setup. Many resorts have the nice flat rails and stuff, but what ruins it would have to be the setups. They are nice rails, but without the addition of the setup, they are nothing. PL had both of those going and they really know how to construct flow and variety filled parks. PL were the ones out there who are telling people how to set things up, Park Crew is just out there maintaining it. I know a bunch of Park Crew guys from Boulder are on these boards, but it is true. I've seen you guys defend yourselves numerous times, but they originally are your models, as they started the craze at MC. MC pretty much has the perfect setups(in the mornings anyways, minus all the crappy landings in the middle of the day) for the area and every resort has tried to model it. So really, the PL guys, are yet again, who you are modeling after... The setups, as realized in pictures, were almost identical to those at mountain creek. Mountain creek has had the best parks, for the past few years, and this was boulders chance to beat them. Mountain Creek has made the transworld top 10 parks for their jibs and such, BEFORE they even had the named, Jiblab! That has to say something. With a place like BB, they dont exactly have the vert. of Mtn Creek, but they definitely had the potential to beat them with their jibs/park setup with their groomers and the addition of PL. if you take notice, most park oriented resorts, dont have the vertical. I think this was the perfect oppurtunity for BB to turn themselves into something big and it was all screwed up! ***I know I dont make a name for myself on these boards to often, I used to post a lot, but I know what Im talking about when it comes to parks. I am no amateur. I've been to countless places and know how things should be setup. I also am not on the boards often because I know live out in Arizona, but PA is my hometown, I would have loved to see the little mom and pop mountain, JFBB to make a name for themselves...but nahh.. I was stoked about the PL thing and I'm not even there about it. Im still excited to come see whats up over winter break, as I'll be back in pA. -
The 2x gives no problem. keep your bolts tight and you'll be fine. Rode an uninc for 3 years, Im still riding one, I love 2x.

big boulder only got a few of the guys. And they are older members, no one from last year. hahah MC get rid of jiblab. HAHAHAHHA yeah rigth.

Im a local at shawnee. and you REALLY must have been going on crappy days, because there really wasnt once that I went and nothing was setup. and I've been snowboarding 60+ days this season. Also, about bear creek. its like 2 feet tall man. If im driving an hour, im going to a good park like mountain creek. Its amazing, even in pictures, you can see that bears boxes and such all have bubbles and warped plexi on the surface. and not to mention there jumps being 1/4 pipes. I'm not saying that bear isn't good or anything, but to drive that far, creek is FAR superior. if there was "nothing setup anytime you went there" maybe you shouldn't have came back. We don't exactly like kids like you up at shawnee. Don't complain, its the end of the season. my point here is, if your going to travel far for a park, go to creek. I've come to the conclusiont hat not many people know what there talking about here, and have nothing but bad to say about anyplace around here, or anywhere else in fact. there are a select few.
-
exactly. thats my man right there
-
HAHA switch over to blue. Most people that go for camelback go because it's probably the best trail mountain around here.
-
pretty much since you have no sense for fun and/or that it is the END of the season.
-
damnnnnnn.
-
not to mention, a little help from all the locals. cough cough. hahahaha keith is the best thing to happen to shawner.
-
After you left, the photographer from Transworld was taking pictures of us on the log jibs and stuff. it was cool as hell. By the way, Its Carlo.
-
you guys are done! haha. I'll be there.
-
hahahahh. horrible everything
-
probably because it was way to hard to maintain. it was shit in 2 hours from opening. it was rediculous. I got pretty worked on that thing myself.
