I can see people zooming down on the air boards via the web cam Is anyone there to give a report? Looks like they are moving pretty good

Either the dude has no legs or he is on some sort of a sled

Just got an email on the $500 season pass with a sno cove pass. As I recall, and ouch I do remember, I missed the labor day cut-off for the cheap price. I figured they would keep the sale open but the did not. Looks like I will take the kids up for a pre school opening dip at the cove and pick up my passes, I will be the big boy with a cold beer at the bar, might be the last hot weekend of the summer.

There were really no substantial lift lines. Conditions were awesome. Any reviews on the torch light of fireworks? I had to cut out.

OK how much better does it get in PA. skiing on friday and saturday at SNO. Conditions are great. Tons of fun today. Have the kids set for lessons during the key football games. So pumped to watch the eagles kick some cowboy ass. Only if the phillies beat the stankees would the weekend, and year, be complete. really, doesn't get much better than this.

happy freakin New year.

I was at Ski Corner on Black Friday, I heard Ski Corner is running the shop at Sno. I would think that is a major upgrade.

We will be up Thanksgiving weekend on the annual visit to the outlaws, Will be buying the season pass for the family before the disocunt period ends. Messed up and did not get one Labor day weekend. Not going to mess up again

We are going to scranton for the 4th of july weekend. i think I'll take the kids up to the mini putt putt and take a look around. in winter its called a trail report, What do you call a summer report??

All for it. I am planning to be the 7th. I just got a call from my pal in Allentown, saying his Band, Da Joes, is playing in the grille. Looks like we are rocking.....better get a babysitter!!

Dude, I live for your reports. I was just thinking that the terrain thread was going on to long and aimlessly and we needed to get back to basics. TR's are critical as we move into March. Conditions can change at the drop of the hat. It can be raining miserable in Philly but snowing in Scranton. We need to know down here what's going on up there. Keep up the good work. If you ask me, you get this years "ski" award, in honor of a dearly departed poster. Melissa would be runner up. She must be working on a big case, since she started strong, then stopped the TR's

Come on man, be positive. Once the weather turns cold, Sno will turn on that fire power and you won't even know that it was warm this week. Sno always brags about how much snow they can make......but it ain't bragging when you can do it. I don't think I have ever been so pumped for a presidents day weekend in my life. The weather looks perfect.

TT C6 your a changed man. 3 smiley faces???? Actually, I can't ski very well. I found this site when I was doing research on where to take the kids. I just don't want them growing up afraid of winter, shut ins like a lot of kids.

We need to have a best of PASR food and drink thread.

We used to be an Elk Family, but with the 2 little kids that can never be controlled, it was hard to get out of the house early to get an AM ticket. The kids could only hang for about 4 hours. This is one of the reasons we switched to Sno because of the 4 hour ticket. If my kids are slow, I don't find myself screaming at them. I try to keep the screaming at work only. All of the mountains in PA have their good parts and bad, but i wish they all had the 4 hour ticket.

I stayed at the Hampton last weekend. Has the pool, beds were very comfortable and a pretty good breakfast before you hit the mountain. The lobby has a pretty cool view of the mountain while you are having breakfast. I thought this hampton was better than the one up in Clarks summitt, but the Clarks Summitt Hampton may have had an upgrade since i was last there. I will go back to the Hampton again.

heading up for the weekend tommarrow. anyone have a report on the new lights??

Great weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Best three days ever. No lines. Great snow. My kids were exhausted from having a blast. Even the band in the lounge sounded better last night. See everyone next weekend. Go Eagles!!!
-
IF crowds are an issue, I would think of heading up to Sno or Elk. I know they are not on your list, but it might be worth the drive. I am not a black diamond skier, so I feel better about pushing myself with less of a crowd.

NEW TRAILS OPENING AT SNO THIS WEEKEND!!!
be85 replied to Sno-nouncements's topic in Montage Mountain
I think the season pass sale just has to do with the economy. If you are not spooked by this economy, you never will get spooked. My pal owns a restaurant and he is getting crushed. I am happy its opened and looking forward to a long winter. -
I stopped by as well yesterday. it looks like there are some big piles of snow all over the place. The only thing I can think of is that they plan on grooming out the big piles at the last minute to protect against a warm spell. They seem pretty confident that they will be open next weekend. They hemmed and hawed about Thanksgiving, but I would be happy to ski on Friday. Too much food and football on Thursday.

No doubt they are waiting for the night utility rates.

Nice Phillies "Montage". best of PASR
