  1. Are you kidding me? I shopped last season and decided on a mid fat for my western ski. I was excited to have the ski so I tried it out early in the season and they were good. It felt weird to to have a fat ski underneath so I went back to my all mountain LINES.. I also have Atomic GS and Slalom skis when the mood strikes me. Any how, I was noticing more chatter from my lines than I remembered from the season before and one day I switched back to the karmas ... I ran them hard, through everything gs race turns on hard pack, crud at the bottom of the slopes, bumps. Okay long story short. You will love them, can't go wrong. Edit: I can't speak for boots, thats a personal choice. Bindings too. BTW - I have contemplated selling mine just so I can get this years model. The graphic and top sheet changed but is still the same ski.
  2. and why not?
  3. whats the date?
  4. we are talking park doug. Everyone at blue who is heavily involved in the park scene at blue is aware that BB is making a quantum leap this season. No doubt of where JFBB rated in comparison to Blue last season. Those in the know and those who have the flexibility are seriously considering making the move. We did. Trust me, they are thinking on a different level, it will become a lot more evident once the season gets here. Quality & Quantity BTW - I believe the preseason discount for passes goes until the end of this month. word... method knows what is up... Although in season 07/08 - I am going to claim that we will see "pros" calling BB home ILO of MC. Here is something else to consider. BB is slightly colder than all the other hills, they have an endless water supply, they have state of the art HUGE freakin oscillating tower fans pointing at thier park trails. I saw some clearing on what I hope is the epic jump run. They have hired world class park managers and they are a very enthusiastic staff with a can do attitude. You are correct. Blue will always be nasty crowded.
  5. Excellent call! we have passes to BB, CB & BC what do you know? you only primarily ski at one or two trails at one mountain. I retract that sorry
  6. make sure that the grooming and conditions are the best they can be all the time. Have more skier friendly jibs with variety in the gaps. We visited once last year for a comp and it is unlikely that nipples will want to return, ever. It was that bad.
  7. sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard he was just at loveland too? that boy is covering some turf!
  8. so all of you know, nipples is campaigning hard for Mammoth in late spring. I don't see how I can pull it off. The more crew we get together for next season at COC the better for everyone, talk it up! NOw is the time to make contact and see if your rents will pay for a refundable deposit. tell them nipples sent ya and ask for a discount!
  9. no doubt. the only reason I can think of that a mountain would join the group is the exposure to new riders that they wouldn't normally get. Compensating the mountain is the tricky part. Kiosks of sorts for validation. I dunno, maybe a pass that has a home mountain primarily listed then a huge discount for tickets at another mountain could be an option.
  10. cool!!!!!!!!!!
  11. it's good and it shows skills. For a sponsor video it should have more locations...
  12. 30' C box - I tried to slide the box on the same plane. BUt yeah 30' - i have seen everyone claim it to be 50' - from lip to knuckle 30'!
  13. They are too short for park Still too short for center mounted park - 160 at your height and weight if you are center mounting, besides the flex on the 150 cm junior ski can be substantially different than the 160cm. You don't say how old you are, but if you are still growing. GET 160 cm and center mount.
  14. I see some real rails!
  15. this crap of distances has got me going. Here is a picture from steamboat how far do you estimate from the lip to the purple line.
  16. Urban Slopestyle Competition: March 1 at 6pm Skiers and riders will showcase their balance and style on an array of urban-style jibs.
  17. further more - you are being sucked in by the flight time by what other people say. I spent 8 days gaping that park. matter of fact and I think you know this, I shot video from that first jump on the left, I stood there for a total of at least an hour. I paced it several times - 12 paces
  18. YO!! dorsey - I work with measurements all day and can spot to the foot, I am calling you out. WTF do you mean don't step out a jump? How many tape measures do you carry in your truck? I measure road beds, house sites on a regular........ awwww forget it want me to bring a transit to give you the elevation drops too? don't go there..... We were at Breck 2/15 thru 2/23 - 8 solid days.. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo the landings/knuckles were way below the lip hence stepped down.......... Matter of fact.. if you look closely at that first jump on the left, then take a close look at the c box... that would make that C box about 50' LOL!!! if you really want I will send pics in hi-res
  19. hahahaha I love it, BC keeps raising the ante. March 1st, 2007. peep the calendar
  20. gawd...... wrong again....... they might have been flying 60' but there wasn't anything close to 60' the couple of times we were there. See all these step down jumps in Breckenridge? None of them are 40'! the bottom right hand one was close to 35' -
  21. ah yep, that is a step down.
  22. a cheese wedge is a type of ramp that you hit that launches you airborn. It looks exactly like a cheese wedge laying on level surface. here is a skinny one and a fat cheesewedge jump.
  23. hahahahahahha ...As I was closing NS I caught one out of the corner of my eye related to the East Coast:
  24. Doug, I tried searching NS for the word booter. these are the 3 most recent uses of the word booter other than in the movie Booter Crunk........ need we say more doug?
