  1. Just to show how things are progressing in the free ride scene. Ski Roundtop is advertising QUICK on their website!!! http://www.skiroundtop.com/freeride.htm Good work guys!
  2. Doug probably loaned him his
  3. First rail jam is right after thanksgiving - we should be there!!!! http://www.belleayre.com/company/calendar.htm
  4. I try to always catch first lift, and the last Does anyone remember METZ he came to mountain creek with a car load of really sic swag for a pasr day. no one showed. the only people that were at the other pasr days were the people with season tickets to that particular mountain. the pasr day schedule was posted in early december last year and appeared on the calendar. I don't believe this site is large enough for any significant turnout unless it is a singular event well touted. I know that my clan will be all over the place next season with competitions and training taking precedence.
  5. lame.... I have PASR banners that I will sell you, if and when you decide to get more organized. They were planned at every mountain because everyone wanted a PASR day at thier mountain. PASR days only work for beginning and end of season for too many reasons to list.
  6. Tom Wallisch Promo is now up http://www.roundtopriders.com/index.php?id=video_promo Oh - QUICK is now legitmately spancered by SkiRoundtop!
  7. I am glad you said that Glenn, thanks. Look, I can understand how the season pass holders feel, no doubt. However, I can't explain the positive feeling of exhuberance and excitement from the BB staff at that May rail jam about this up coming season. My gut intuition for what it is worth is that the BBJF pass is still going to be a good deal comparitively. I know that we will be there checking out the scene as soon as it fits the schedule. Heather, get the rail pics, park design, anything - up as soon as you can and post with any detailed info you can. One huge benefit would be an extended season. I can assure you that we will be there if you do. NO ONE in our region seems to be commited to staying open, matter of fact, everyone seems to quit blowing early and closes with nearly full coverage. Opening early - you are at the mercy of the weather. But blowing at night when you can, to increase the base for an extended season, easy..
  8. Times are a changin! Ridecb made mention of this board there!
  9. noooooo - you get over yourself!! You trying to pick a fight?
  10. May I remind you sir to:
  11. show me 400 acres next to an interstate intersection miles away from an airport with water and sewer next to large venues for sale for 5m? They do it to former golf course all the time.
  12. hahaha... It is by far one of the best most comprehensive guides to what is what.
  13. BTW - lets not ignore in all this, that MR Carlson and Ford apparently ski together frequently and their children are also involved. Carlson has a condo in the pocono area. that in itself makes more sense to me on why they are buying it - they want their own personal playground? all the while they are remaining saavy about the value.
  14. I would, after 10 years of improving it and making it a profitable ski area, it's still a gold mine if it is converted back to raw ground.
  15. Land prices are through the roof. 70k per acre is quoted from Mr Ford as being the value. I doubt Mr Ford would publicly over value an acre there. That location is central on a major feeder with a ton of ammenities close by, read: location, location, location. Comparitively to demographics in our area 70k is a steal of a deal. I think I read that in close proximity, the median price is at 330k and there are homes over 1m in the same area. 20% raw land to house price is a typical ratio. I don't know the net buildable area (there are afterall steep slopes!) I would think 2 units per acre would be a reasonable assumption given public water and sewer.
  16. it makes sense if 400 acres at 70k is the value of the ground that the 14m in improvements is sitting on agreed.....
  17. ruh roh.... crap.... I found what is driving washo. the deal does reek... I mean everyone should get the benefit of the doubt but there is a history and I'm not posting FBI transcripts of wire taps. thats the line... bye bye... I'm done, these are big boys/players.... Best of luck.
  18. Sno Mountain... Formed April 06 Interesting group of banker investor types - money managers - former heavy equipment company - restaurantuer - computer guy. The head guy is involved with munincipal bonds at Lackawanna and with one for Split Rock for an indoor water park. he was acquitted from a philly "pay-to-play" municipal corruption scandal indictment. http://www.thetimes-tribune.com/site/news....16046&rfi=6 Ford and Carlson both have children who are well accomplished at the sport. Any idea of who the kids are?
  19. I'm still bothered by the annouced spending of a million dollars investing or speculation on an agreement of sale. Typically - real estate transactions get tied up by a deposit that allows time to do a due diligence investigation. Sort of a good faith gesture. I dunno, I can't imagine someone, anyone, spending that type of money, essentially 20% of the sale price unless they felt that it was "in the bag". They are either flushed with cash and no big deal if they don't get it or.........
  20. soo.... blue is the only mountain to have boarder/skier cross comps. Has anyone heard the IOC and Vancouver may add skiercross to 2010?
  21. I am proud of all our mountains for stepping up the park scene. BLue and BC - CB BB and shawnee!! Now all we got to do is think snow!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Thanks for the intelligent reply. I rode with a friend who hard boots a bunch last season. Took a racing clinic with another. There is also 2 others who run Nastar at CB and BC regularly. hard booting does not = stiff racing boots. it's all jargon, no biggie unless you are a know it all racing something or another.
  23. Holy crap... I actually skipped over the back and front flips, figures, I missed the best epic shots. thanks for bringing them back up. I am so amazed with that compilation. I had to bring it over here.. http://media.newschoolers.com/uploads/memb...ork3tocork5.wmv hahaha... that's the exact same shot as in Nipples intro to his promo!! http://www.roundtopriders.com/video/StevenLarick_Promo06.wmv
  24. You chose to ignore the fact that I don't like what is happening at Montage (politics) you also choose to ignore what I know about development and brand me as stirring up crap. I still think that snow mountiain is primarily in this for the water park and little else. You took the facts as I know them and labled it as shit, no one else on this board did that. I think it is your own shit you are smelling. toss a rock, why don't you, you love to instigate with personal rebuttals and won't stick to the topic will ya? or are you going to go into one of your typical tirades towards me along with some type of personal insult?
