wow wow wow!! Nipples is on the first page of the camp up dates!
  3. you guys know I like to fight the tide. I am voting for Snow Time. Focus on one thing and do it well. With 3 other hills under thier belt. I just feel like they are in a better position to make it work and/or carry the lean years.
  4. Wow... yeah, in order to do 3d walkthroughs you have to have CAD drawings. The floor plans then have to be digitized with the corresponding wall heights and then rendered with color. Not cheap to do. for sure.
  5. I didn't realize the drawings were that extensive.

Yeah - its a pretty cool thing. They award the prize to who has progressed the most in the comp. Ridge stands a good chance to win this week. He never has landed a 3 and has them down, he is going for the 5, Nipples is going for the backflip or a 10 Whispers and hints are that the footage will be in their movie this summer. The true legend part II? BTW the roundtopriders mammoth edit is now rated #1 on NS - The movie should be cutting edge. Good stuff!
  8. hey kevin! God... I got huge dose of deja-vu - where is that video that someone posted about snowboarding going now where from back in the 80's. Parks is where it is at and now with twin tips steadily gaining market share....... The number of racer parents that asked me how I liked my twins was large. They were listening, manueverability is where it is at.
  9. If we could only use that reasoning during our subdivision approvals and have it work. We buy raw ground and go through the subdivision process to get approval to build homes from the various governing local agencies. The benefits to the local governments and the economy are over whelming. We spend millions upon millions with engineers, attorneys and enviromental people. We put in parks and improve roads not related to the project just to get approval. It sometimes feels like legal extortion. We have over 20 projects in various stages of the approval process. We have staff dedicated to just this endeavor. Just because we have gambled that money doesn't mean that we get approval. The stories are endless about unreasonable authorities who delay decisions. It's just the way it is. Given what I know in comparison with costs associated in far more complicated projects, I now question how the hell they spent a million already. I think that number is grossly inflated which might or could be hint. We would never complain about the money invested to buy something why are they? They must already be hurting, probably extremely frustrated.
  10. I feel for them and the money spent but business is business.. I would go with a proven company. but hey that is me and I am not the seller. Like I was saying, they are both good deals.
  11. did you ever stop and think that you hit the nail on the head.. That you, yes you are the only ones waiting? www.dougsPASR.com -- boy does that suck for the rest of us or what?

  14. Damn dude, I can feel your pain.... The one comment from Snow time that stuck with me was
  15. Snow time might be a better idea since they have other hills under their belt. I bid 4 million with 8 in improvements - with ski in charge to run the place

LOL!!!! naaaaaa Ridge has better form than that! Check out the PASR home page. hahahahaaa - I'm getting a lot of messages on NS from campers that are home from B session that they have pictures and film. There should be a lot to post this summer.
  18. I guess you can't really. It's been my experience that the open category is a small one. Usually it has the sponsored riders. Sponsored riders aren't as likely to sand bag. The converse problem is prevalent with out an open category. The same riders always win and it is discouraging to getting new entrants when they are all amassed into one group. Series like Bear, BB, RT and soon Blue are the best comps. Open categories can allow for more stringent judging also. A clean 7 with a grab beats a hucked 10 for example. JMHO

COC is off the hook this year. They have had bluebird days so all the film crews are getting their last shots in. Hopefully I will get some of Nipples. I filmed him all season, it is really hard to not be there. Ridge is on his first day on the snow today. This was taken Wednesday.
  20. Its a phrase. The open category is where the big prizes should be. Usually the opens have the best of the best. You place your self in that category often by paying a fee and then competing. For example: My son might want to compete in that category if there is no competition in his age group. Pro's is just a nick name for the really good riders. I hate that. They should quantify what tricks put you in what category if they are going to do it on a skill level. I was watching cork 5 in the intermediate level last year. gimme a break..
  21. Bear Blue (very close runner up) Shawnee Big Boulder Camelback Some will argue, but based on my trips, that is what it is.
  22. email seems to be the best in the off season. give em a few days into next week to reply.
  23. I think you should have an "open" category. That should be for the "pros"..
  24. a steady diet of those suck for skiers. Nipples didn't like MC for that reason. Hit a rail got on and off, it was funny a skier judge later in the comp tried to get up on it and wrecked. BTW nipples was the only skier in a competition of 35 snow boarders.
  25. Doug - do you ever have anything productive to add? All the way.....
