Naa, I doubt he is shifting to the darkside. He is looking forward to doing all the other stuff like whitewater rafting, mountain biking, bungee jumping - plus I think he just wants to be part of the gang.

I am still waiting for pics. Nipples tells me the computers at the hotel are mad busy all the time. Hopefully next Thursday is the camp turnaround day. we should see something. In the meanwhile, nipples is tearing it up out at COC. he is getting his 9's perfected and working now on spinning the other direction. His first 2 days he concentrated on the 1/2 pipe. the highlight so far was snapping pictures of 2 bears humping under the lift. His goals this year are back flips, lincolns and rodeos. Ridge is headed out to join him for the C session.

the jumps don't have to be huge but they need the right landing angle. I am trying to remember that number. was it 35-42 degrees? or was that number avalanche related? Anyhow. I feel that I can speak from an expert observation and say that all the western resorts and some northern ones have steeper landings. I heard over at camelback once that their jumps are purposely designed to skid and skip on the landing rather drop from the sky like a meteor. If there is one thing (aside from park passes) that I would like to see Bear and Blue improve on, that would be the landing transitions. There needs to be more tables. if you are going to build a step down at 60 feet then heaven help us, give it a decent steep landing.

I was talking to a friend last night who is out there and he said they got a couple of inches of fresh snow each night for the last week! COC is still flying in features on a daily basis. how about (3) forty footer rails back to back! totally off the hook this year and totally gated. the locals are pisssed that they aren't able to poach. good!

THere are dozens of ways to work around the new moderation, like post the video where you are supposed to, then announce that you have posted the video in the teaser thread or submitted to the resource page or ask the question "what do you think of the teaser" etc etc.. I don't like the new moderation in reference to the posting of links to film clips..... I think it actually creates more "clutter". but I never liked the 65 mph speed limit either.

Keep posting and updating, I'll bring nipples up later on this summer. We grind up truckloads of woodchips but we are 2 hours south.

I think I know where they are coming from. The are clamping down on what they call clutter, hating posts and advertising. While I am not sure I agree with not allowing threads with links to teasers. They have provided several other venues/forums for the posting of them.
