  1. See? that is the same elitest, I am right and you are wrong attitude, that I get slapped with at CB. To tell me that I am a lost cause shows your true colors. wow!! what a revelation!!! holy cow! I am sure glad someone told him that.. He never heard that before, never practiced it either!!
  2. He is bored, because it doesn't move fast enough for him from what I have gathered. He says his coaches talk too much. Don't worry about interference from me towards the CAT team. These are my thoughts based on observations. Matter of fact, don't worry about interaction either in the form of donations and sponsorships for safety fencing either because apparently CB won't allow logos to be put on them. Yeah there is an aura of we are good, nobody can tell us anything, because we know what we are doing.. blah blah blah I am done now, thanks for your time! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
  3. I loved the conditions today, empty slopes, waterproof gear.... Ridge called it quits after 2 hours, soaked to the bone. Nipples was done with some serious shin bang after ripping up BC yesterday.. Rhodo is open the first jump is too flat of a landing the second is okay. The wall ride looks to be a good angle.. The rain washed the snow off. Nice to see the C box up high, but it was childs play for him.. There looks to be a huge base over there, so everything should be good for tomorrow. There is still about 10 inches of natural outside the door even after all the rain..
  4. Ridge is jealous of Blue, I can't tell him any of that. He know from his brother that apparently 20+ Blue racers were at Whistlers at the time Nipples was at COC.... So what if he is a J4, he wants to be the best J4 but knows he is a first year.. He also knows what he did in Nastar - he wants to race and is bored right now. Last year was exciting and a ton of fun through the Nastar program. I/we want to make sure that skiing is fun. This weekend has not been fun for him.
  5. I have been keeping an eye on blue and all I can say is that I wish they had a "northridge" there. BTW - Ridge has had 3 different coaches in 5 days on the snow. Back seat is not my style, never will be, I drive, you ride..
  6. Guess what guys, it's not me complaining, it is my kid and 3 other members on the CB team as of today (Merry Christmas!) who are saying the same thing. None of you that I last checked are racing on a team. Maybe you are. How would you feel at the top of race knowing that you haven't seen a gate and that you are part of race team are you really gonna be thinking drills.. helll no! you are going to be thinking fast!! If you don't practice drills around gates at least some. Adrenaline is going to make you forget.... what is the point? I created this post because I watch and I listen and then because I love to stir things up, I then speak for those who are more demure in nature. One of our very own thinks... well too bad he's not online, I'll invite him up tomorrow, maybe it will mean more coming from someone who races. I am all for drills, each day is from 8 till 2:30, It is absolutely stupid to put a kid a bonafide race who has not turned any gates or minimal gates and has only done "drills". A race itself should be a drill of equal or more importance. Ever wonder why Ridge is so fast? It doesn't have to do with 150+ timed gated races last year... no -- it is because of all the drills he did last year, that is why he is fast.... NOT!!
  7. Maybe some day I will understand.. I know of one family that switched from CB to Blue, for reasons like being "serious" and having gates set up.. Props to Bleu I got recently got reprimanded by a coach at CB during dryland training, (while Blue was open, I suggested that we all should go to Blue to get some runs in) ..... - who said he was certified in this and that and that he takes this very "serious".. Yesterday and the day before Ridge could have had some "fun" got plenty of vert, but no he had to go to ski team. He came off the slopes at 11:30 bored, and not happy. That sucks! I dunno know of any race that doesn't have gates, it just seems to me that ALL training should be done with gates. Not much different than football practice on a field without yard markers or baseball with out plates or track with out an oval. etc etc etc... I am not an expert, but I am sorry this makes no sense to me.... Matter of fact..... WHAT?
  8. It looks as though Nastar has gates set up before the bonafide USSA-PARA race teams do. I am sick about hearing how complex and difficult USSA gates are, no wonder they don't use them to practice on, they just throw some out and say - let see you go race around those..None of the teams have had any practice using real gates and I know that Ridges first race in on the 7th - THAT IS LAME! - RANT... Futhermore - I have to be some kinda of elitest certified in this and that to drill holes in the snow to offer to help. CRAPOLA!
  9. I dunno - join us on the 15th for PASR day, we will do an in depth analytical report... It does seem as though a few who hail MC as their home mountain come across that way on Message Boards - however we got some good apples who love MC on here too.. Anyway off topic.. The boys and I will file a xmas report later tonight.

    ELK closed?

We have it on our schedule to go up on the First.. Thanks for the report!!!
  11. Check your PM's - The GM was listening based on what I was telling him about our short correspondence early season. I got you up on a pedestal..
  12. AH yep -- just find a way to get to Camelback early morning and I will be happy to as many as I can fit. We may have 2 cars.. not for sure yet, but strong possibility.
  13. We rolled into Rt at 5 pm on Friday night.. Everything was open, no lift lines and the snow quality was excellent. It was quick to lay over some nice turns without having to worry about breaking loose. Nipples had great time running up with some friends and competing in a rail jam. He placed 2nd.. I got a nice message from the park manager. I know that RT is a huge distance for a lot of you but if you get the chance to check them out, DO IT!!!!!! The park set ups are unique and alot of our eastern PA slopes could take a lesson on park management. IMO>>>
  14. Mountain Creek on the 15th even if it is busy. We can stay together as a group it will be good.. The competiton that nipples is in is limited to 35 9-14 year olds. If for nothing else watching these little groms tearing it up is inspiring..

    ELK closed?

For 2 years, when the kids were younger (5&6) I would travel the extra hour for the better conditions at Elk... not any more since they don't really have a park.......
  16. Yeah - I got it!! but we don't have the cables or software blah blah blah.. BC is set up so well.. Respect in the park.. everything about it was a great time today... Tuesday night, if you can be there do it!!
  17. WORD
  18. Nipples, Ridge and I will be there. I think that everyone has an opinion and you have snowboarders and skiers lightweights and heavywieights, noobs and pros.. I think everyone should come with details not just.. "the landings suck" Personally I would like to see progressive parks... Beginner, Intermediate, insane... Nipples pulled his first 900 at BC today, I was lucky enough to capture it on film - so props to them for having the jump just right for him to get the air and pop to progress.. We saw RT last night and we know Camelback, Blue is trying Etc etc .. Bear by far is the most progressive, so.. Come on out with a positive attitude, they are listening and truly want to know what your thoughts are.
  19. The GM said that was a myth.. (running out of water) One of the ponds recharges as fast as it drains for snow making...... they ran outa cold weather, I was there today, the quality of the snow is great, very grippy as the racers would say. There are bare spots and there is a 10 degree difference between BC and CB as evidenced tonight.
  20. Yeah it's too short for switch ups and what have ya's.. Has anyone seen any skiers 450 onto it yet? Nipples keeps saying it can't be done, but I have seen him do it on less of a lip, but more gap at other places. They were better last weekend than the first weekend... I just don't get the thinking on those jumps. they keep reffering to that park as a beginner park, makes no sense to me.
  21. HAHA Good one Metz!! Cole=coal - damn... I wanna change my name now..
  22. Hey Method, Excellent post! I was looking at some of your stuff based on a recent post you made. Hopefully we will have a decent sized group coming up to MC on the 15th of January, will you be there? My kid is fairly talented is itching to sample the park after his comp. Any more updates on the MC park?
  23. WOW!! Thanks for the back handed compliment! I think. My motivation for some of the posting antics is driven and refueled by several recent evnts. No worries.. Maturity is a funny word. PASR is all about having fun on the slopes. I tend to sarcastically poke fun at those who take the fun out of things. Anyone over 20 years of age going WOOOO HOOOO while flying down a snow covered slope can be construed as immature and with out class. That is a group that I am proud to be part of.. SO, please take your obviously mature classy self into the lodge and do some posing
  24. Dude, they ran out of water in their ponds is what I am hearing. I am not sure why, but that is the word...
  25. My bad - we will be there on the 24th most of the day. Look for the PASR stickers on the helmets.
