Big Boulder is a totally different dynamic than 99% of the other hills out there IMO. I visualize more and more summer parks with carpet and places like Xanandu in the future. To me, finding a way to stay open and have attendance pay for the cost is just a matter of marketing it. If there was a full skatepark for example......

who knows? All I know is that there have been some management changes and they are blowing snow for a late season event and they are staying open longer than they have in decades. Last year the owner told me he was sending some of their groomers to Cutters camp at Hood. so maybe........ they will work on thier park. I doubt they will ever have the caliber of BB BC Blue or SNO's park, namely because that type of rider is not thier target market. Plus they don't really have the slopes for it anyhow. IMO of course!

maybe I am sort of , probably ending up, picking a fight with fluffy on something from last year about this same time. I am using Camelback as an example, blowing snow for an event and staying open well into April. The point is they are advertising. felt liek stirring some end of the season controversy.

longer season than park city, what! oh! a bunch of kids were here over christmas saying the park was in better shape than PC. So yeah, shit talking aside, boulder rocks and I think they are the catylyst to some other changes we are seeing like with SNO and now CB ..

Hey Fluffy, I give you exhibit 1 in reference to this year old argument. I know you are a die hard/fight to the death Boulder fan but really, you were mentioning Saturday that BB will close. I am doing everything I can to help sell some tickets to make it worthwhile to stay open. What are you doing this year?

They blew on the 29th and 30th! in apparent preparation for this rail jam - that pic is actually from sunday morning about 10am my camera is off on the 12 hour setting. Is the carpet and tow rope going to utilized?
