I almost flipped when i first read your 28 dollar purchase, being as though it retails for closer to 135 for a 8'x4' sheet. you can run it over with snow cats and its fine. But dont leave it in the summer sun, oops. www.skisundown.com/media www.4frnt.com www.libertyskis.com www.rightsideproductions.com Taydawg197* 653 Posts Ridiculous Nov 7 2005 8:09:50 Quote Reply Quoting fluff* from Nov 7 2005 7:59:52: this stuff is like gold. 5. I saw 66 for a high on Sunday down our way.. that sucks
  6. Thanks! If there is anyone interested or thinking about freestyle summer camps at Whistler next summer let me know! I am gather a decent sized list of people that will be at either High North or Camp of Champions representing our region. Ridge is probably also going to a related race camp or COC just to get some turns in and hang out, I may be there as a videographer/chaperone. Good times!!
  7. Because they enjoy annoying us as much as we enjoy wondering why they do things the way they do.. Rising Into the Air: What are they building? Don't go climbing the walls trying to figure this one out?we'll tell you soon enough.
  8. LOL!! wolf, bear, hawk,,, I knew it was one of those predators Thank you Mr Carnegie!
  9. We owe Liberty and Whitetail a visit this year. It's been 2 seasons since we were last there. RT is the most progressive in supporting all the various programs based on our visits last year. Every weekend, every day it seems they have something going on. For you park riders, there is a very talented organized group of skiers that hang together. I am not sure how strong the snowboard group is.
  10. That sounds like salesmanship at it's worst. Does the average rider need to do anything, no... Should they? YES!! Does the average rider even have their boards maintained throughout the season or do they summer store properly? I never did until the last few years.. Yeah - stores will try to get the best price they can in the easiest manner by not saying things like, if you want World Cup bases, you will need to buy a thousand dollars in tuning equipment and wax on, wax off 90 times - Take care of your skis and they will take care of you. Wax em again it won't hurt only help! look for burnishing, fuzz or what ever it is called when the wax is all gone... ..
  11. The other ski expos in this area (philly and scranton) were scant and not well publicized.. It sounds like you will have it all to your self
  12. The little bugger is getting smart.. HAHAHAHAA He gets his video on the CB MB!!! ROCK ON .. steeze!! http://ridecamelback.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=22385#22385
  13. Steezemachine's pass makes him look like he is crying.. poor guy, stuck at CB.... How do I get to the CB park manager, who is he? what is his name?
  14. Welcome Line Ski!! there are several plastics available. Lexan is the most popular and can be picked up at home depot.
  15. We found the mother load of farm gates today that we will be chopping and bending ...... when i find 30 hours in the day.
  16. Message me - lets caravan or carpool down.. Thanks for promoting and getting the word out....
  17. Get your ski gloves out, soak them in water and then put them in the freezer for 30 minutes and then put your gloves on. It might help with some of your withdrawl symptons..
  18. Do you have to be a member of the USASA for those comps?
  19. Steeze got yelled at a bunch of times for trying to retrieve polka dotted boxers that wouldn't stick in the bra tree at CB. Funny to watch a little grom hopping over logs with Pink polka dotted boxers while a ranger overhead hollers, GET OUT OF THERE!! Tip: you need to roll the legs to the elastic and get them to fly like frisbees to get them to "stick".. POLKA DOTTED Undergarments=PASR was there!!!!!
  20. It's good to hear that they are improving the park. I does stand to reason that if they have a park area serviced by its own lift that the ppublic will quickly demand better features. It also help to keep all the park rats corralled in one area. I think that that is one huge step in the right direction.
  21. I have heard that the really obsessed ski racer only stores skis horizontally supported at the tip and the tail, each ski separately upside down to "protect" that "arch" that you are seeing. I use those velcro straps making sure that the one end goes between the skis to protect them from rubbing and lean them in a corner or along the wall. I do this mainly because the skis are kept inside until its time to take them somewhere. I guess if I had the room, I would have horizontal rack and store them individually as listed above. I doubt that gravity would have any real detrimental effect on the camber by laying them flat. I worry more about scraping and scratching the bases by laying them flat, although common sense will tell that with time gravity will take over and everything will work it's way back to earth Ski999?
  22. How does the team feel about parents waxing skis at CB?
  23. Definatly.. I try to wax as soon as possible after a weekend. I leave the wax on and then the day before I scrape and wax according to the conditions.. If I am lazy I will use the mountain slopes ski shops for a quick wax. Skidude, do you guys have a wax room set up at the house in NR or do you use the ski teams room?
  24. Hate me if you will.. but I am thinking Punta Cana for turkey day.... it better be freakin cold when I get back or I am moving to Alaska
  25. Corks and other tricks come after spinning left and right, then go to a trampoline and get used to being upside down, it is not for the faint of heart or for the fragile, be smart about learning tricks. Progression is key, when it feels right, do it.
