Papasteeze replied to snorovr's topic in Blue Mountain
What happened? Specials are usually specials for a reason.. Was a specific mechanic or the equipment they used to tune the skis? Who do you use now or recomend for tuning? EDIT: WELCOME TO PASR ! -

Welcome Jolly Jake

I agree, I am seeing some trends... The thing to do is to offer positive constructive critisism. Say what needs to improve then reasonably suggest how to improve and what benefits CB will get from those improvements. oh, it should be one idea at a time unless you are prepared to make a comprehensive business plan and presentation along with resources.

Welcome to PASR!! Stop around at thier Fall festival, most if not all the mgmt staff should be there and it would be a good way to maybe get an on the spot interview.
-
I'm with justo on this one. There are several boot fitters in our area that are reputable.. Nestor's IMO offers the best value. Salter's is tedious, but you can go back as many times as you need and they are $$$ Skidude - what is the name of the guy that was at our CAT meeting?
-
You know if the snow starts early that means that we get that 70 degree and rain crap in mid February
-
I wonder if 7 of them are from PASR??? Now wouldn't that be interesting.. hahahaha
-
Thanks for the update JUSTO!!! He told me he handed out 20 PASR stickers!! PASR represent!

Steeze had a great time! I'll let him post the details. First place rider paid 1200 first place skier paid 350 that gives you an idea of the ratio... 4 to 1... we need more riders on this site!!

Hi Damien and Welcome to PASR!! My family has a season pass at Camelback for weekend skiing and will be getting a weekday night pass at Bear. CB has the vert and a racing team that my sons are members of and Bear will be for some gate training on the Nastar Course Tuesday and wednesday nights. My older boy get 3 hours of uninterupted use of the park on those evenings. If you are looking ot get into the park and can overlook the fact that there is a little more than half the vertical of CB then I would get a Bear pass. The lodge, bar and restaraunt is truly comfortable on a weekday night. I only have been there twice on a weekend, once was at the end of the season and the other time was before the new lodge was open, the lifts are slow but there was never really much of a line. The PASR staff and members will be there for its Fall festival on the 29th and 30th of this month if you want to come out and really get a feel for the place. CB on the other hand, well they have more ticket sales than any other mountain for a reason. At least I belive they lead PA mountains in sales. Not 100% positive about that.

The krypton seems to have compensated for that by making it a 3 piece boot. One buckle clamps the foot piece down and the other clamps the leg piece around and then the 3 buckle ties the tongue of the boot with pressure forcing the heel back.. I can't wait to see if it actually works!! The certainly feel like they have all the control I need, but then I am only walking around the house.
-
Mechanically, I like the idea buckle the foot down, strap it around your leg and then cinch the heel back.. why haven't 3 buckle boots ever caught on. It can't be a new concept, or is it?
-
not unless you got weird feet like I do..
-
Welcome back vokyl!! You will be happy to know that we will have stickers from a graphic you submitted last year..
-
Snow.... errrrrr chopped ice will be at Roundtop this coming Sunday!!
-
You know you are a post whore when you quote you're own post. But I got word today from a Dalbella rep That T-Hall and the Armada Pro Team will be repping Dalbello Kryptons.. There is a new model coming out that has a reversed toe buckle so it doesn't get hung up on rails as easily. If any one has seen Steeze's boots, they will appreciate this concept.

Mary - I'll be purchasing my BC passes on the Fall Festival weekend and will try and group others who are interested into doing the same. We'll have an official PASR card for your ticket window at that time. We intend on creating cards for supporting/donating members as one of the many benefits for supporters. Thanks for the update and support!! Bear Creek Rocks!
