http://www.snowathome.com/sg5_page.htm Does anyone - has anyone heard of this particular machine? This looks more managable and sensible to start out with than others that I have been looking at.

Welcome to the board JH!! It's great to have snow lovers stop in from other parts of the country and contribute.. If you happen to hear of someone in your area making a trip down south to our neck of the woods - tell em to sign in. They will find everyone very helpful to offer advice and reccomendations.
-
LOL - no I don't work there. But you should stop in -Ask for Duane and let him know PASR sent ya!! - Good guys who have to try extra hard to please since they are so far from a mountain. He can get just about anything for you, his showroom stuff is what the typical market in our area buys which probably doesn't meet the needs of most of the users on this board.. Conversly, his shop is set up more like a demand and supply .......

The one in Chadds Ford is our home shop - we know the guys at the Newark store fairly well. Duane or Ryan are the ones you want to talk to in PA.

ah yep, I believe so!!! I think there is a learning curve - I started out renting for the kids at the slopes and said screw that ... then I went to the lease... sweet no more hassles on the slopes... then I went shopping for stuff on sale and then last year I started buying quality.. I think it sort of ties in with the number of days skied .. -5 days = rental on the slopes 5-10 days = lease program 10+ days = buy
-
I agree with you, but 95% of the skiers out there don't know what we know. they only know the hassle and cost of renting at the slope. Most of the people I know in this area arent as familiar with the slopes like you/we are. Also most of the people I know put a value on the time of not hassling with the rental so it is worth a few extra dollars if you only ski 4 or 5 times to already have your stuff with you and knowing that it fits. The ski bum has nice stuff now, the closer we get to the start of the season, the slimmer the pickings..
-
That appears to be the way it reads.. If you are truly interested, I would bet they will work something out with you, thats the way they are.

nice.. I didn't see at what temperature they turned the guns on at.

I am a little late in posting this .. Junior/Teen Lease 2006 This season we have added a teen lease to our ever popular junior ski lease and have added a full snowboard lease for juniors and teens. I found this picture on Roundtops website - If you look closely you can see a PASR sticker on the helmet of the kid in the foreground.. http://www.skiroundtop.com/photo.htm

I just got the Dalbello Kryptons also!!! I cant wait to try them out!
-
Yeah... for park skis, I don't bother scraping the wax off, just iron it on and done...
-
I second your thought!!! the menu sucks - however the site is an improvement comparitively to what they had. AS mountains go - who has the best website? For kicks - I'll start a poll....
-
Nice website!! Certainly you can rep PASR!!! Grab the PASR .gif at the top of this page or I can send you a fresh one. Send a logo back and we will put it on our Links page. BTW - reciprocal links are welcomed and appreciated to anyone associated with Pennsylvania Snow.

I got a message that Liberty is shipping Stickers, finally

Thanks for the advice Sib. I think I'll hover in the background for now. I live 2 1/2 hours form the nearest PARA meeting. On top of that, I am content to find out how Ridge does this year on his own, in the USSA system. My plan is that in the event he contnues to excel the way he did last year, is to "turn" him over to the professionals, ie schools next..

Mr "D" send me a post or a message when you get to Tahoe this year. I gotta feeling there is some good stuff hiding in the squaw area..
-
I have so much to learn...
-
Yeah - I have that list and have printed each of the schools info out - I am looking for anything, that anybody might have seen, experienced or heard at this point.
-
Thanks for the tip - thats the stuff I am looking for. Any more out there?
-
I added a ton of stuff from their events page to our calendar. There seems to be some conflicting information regarding PARA races or it maybe it is just too early to be posting info from all of the various sites.. Please let me know if you find any of the information to be innacurate or just plain screwed up. Thanks!!!
