in some areas by my estimation, it is well over a 100' or more to the top from the top of the current lifts - I did notice some really steep areas, I also noticed that it seemed that it had been cleared at one time or another......

Why doesn't CB's lift go to the top? The paved loop at the top of the Ridge is clearly well above the where the lifts teminate. Why did they stop? The park office is up there, why don't they expand?

too much snow can be nerve racking - getting into the Tahoe basin that had had 20 feet of snow by end of january made traveling to get there..

Wow - we might even get to do some east coast BC with that prediction!! Steamboat CO the 3rd week of March for sure!! .......NEVER turn down a trip west..

No apologies needed!! My kids and I are brand spanking new to competitive snow sports. There are so many opinions.. It's easy to get caught up in the minutia of opinionated written details and end, forgetting to include, that we are all part of the same group who love the snow. I am hoping that groups like Jeni and the ISSA, NASTAR - www.paskiandride.com are a sign that some newer snow groups are making sure that being on the snow is fun. There will always be the fiercly competitive, (my way - or the highway) groups that seem to me, to be "old school" cough USSA cough My heart breaks for our local ski club that excludes family members from an inter-club fun race. If I could, I would do more..... BTW - when the ISSA posts their schedule - I will adding their events to our calendar too!!
