Ash Battersby is very personalable - her little brother is named Zoo, like 10 or 11, and rips the slopes up too!

I dunno ..... I hope they make a ton of money and keep doing it.... if they quit doing it because they can't afford to do anymore - that would be understandable and ok too.

Welcome to PASR - Shawnee really pushed the park last year and we tried it once, it was a let down compared with all the hype - maintenance seeemed to be the problem. prolly due to all the traffic just riding over the lips. If just one place concentrated on making a decent half pipe - maybe...... just do one thing and do it well would be a suggestion

DRAPE 001 WELCOME!!!!

I noticed that she is from Uniontown PA (southwestern Pa) - Has anyone skiied with her? Wisp? Seven Springs? Canaan Valley? - Apparently she left the area 5 years ago. http://www.biglines.com/articles_readmore.php?read=179

I'll vouch for Joe G.... From the videos and chatter that I have seen and heard - the roundtop events are really good and worth making the trip for.

New skis rule!! I think I lovingly touched about 30 pairs of '06 skis the other night...

My LINE reactors were almost $300 when it was all said and done. I may have bought more of piece of mind than anything else, but I am relatively happy with them..

$100 is a good deal even if it is last years ski - I also saw a set of Line chronics go for $119 just recently. 160cm may be next years ski for him - BTW he is 80lbs!! He just recently changed his mind to the Armada WeenShark at 150cm - After skiing on 147 at whistler he decided on the longer ski for this upcoming season. He was getting the 140cm WeenBear. Steezemachine is getting hook-ups from Armada right now - sponsored, if you will. and since he hasn't said anything - I will.. Oakley just picked him up too!! Armada and Oakley, a great combo for the newschool skiing industry - they are the ones that have come to my attention as being the most supportive and progressive to the industry!!

Anything north of here is better than nothing... Whiteface has some steep vert and some offtrail when the conditions permit. I would campaign for somewhere different if it is not too late.

Great post Atomic!!!!! Thanks for taking the time to document!

There is nothing like the feel of a freshly waxed tuned pair of skis.. Learn to wax - it helps to keep you more intune to what feels good and what doesn't. MY .02

Best move for you in the park. good choice.

My ear drums... when I hear my heart beat in my ears, I know my aerobic is up... is that a good thing?

was going to go after a saturday at roundtop ended up passing the exit and decided on JFBB - 2 years ago we had good snow and I heard some OK things about it, like, no crowds!
-
I'll add these dates to the calendar next week - my monitor crashed at home - just as well - I got a 21" in storage. EDIT: the ARSA races have all been added to the calendar. The calendar is filling up fast!!
-
Thanks JOE!!!! The Larick Clan will be there. Steezemachine, aka Nipples will be rip roaring ready to go - he is pumped!! Any chance of adding a tail to the end of the box for some stylish dismounts? Sounds like the ramp will carry plenty of speed.

It turns out that the Park Manager Jesse Whitcomb also is invoved with Outdoor Adventure sports which is where we rent a rock climbing wall. Jess, are you here?

Exactly, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. We would not know what we know today without Nastar. I feel strongly that I have a much wider view/vision of racing that I would have not gotten if he was involved in a singular program.

That would be so awesome. This summer, as last is quickly passing. (thats a good thing) The chill in the air this morning is BTW - the big picture plan for Ridge is learning to train with the CAT team - along with a couple of races, that he wants to go to - unless he wants to do more. Nastar is a given. As far as techniques and teaching them - the most important point, is that a straight line between two points is the shortest and subsequently, the fastest route. grrrrrr pesky gates...

Thanks For The Support!! Next year will be tough one logistically. All we want to know right now is whether we can get a discount ticket and accommodations to NZ for some freakin snow!!!!!!!!!
-
Oh - that would be a good one!!!!
