Blue Mountain (PA) Freeride Ski Program - NEW!!
Papasteeze replied to skier150's topic in General Chat
Dude - I got one who really wants to be there but between the comps at other mountains and my hauling him around - we really need a prorated program!! -
Would you care if it was either High North or COC?

I have been toying with the idea of the Ranger thing while I am skiing at Camelback. For a number of reasons. 1. to keep busy and out of my kids hair while they are practicing or training 2. to better help police the park - from and for the obvious etiquette things 3. skiing priviledges - need to save some money somewhere 4. Support CB as more of an "insider" - helps to know people, right? 5. Most importantly for one of the cool bumble bee jackets. It seems that I have read a lot of stories about the Rangers being overly fanatical or unreasonable in their responsibilities. What are the true stories of why a Ranger stopped you.

Some great ideas being tossed around here.. Question: How many times did an adult have to ski at CB before it paid for itself?
-
This looks interesting .. however, I hope there will be more color choices, seems kind of silly for everyone to be dressed the same. http://www.skiracing.com/industry_report/n...T/newsArticles/

Hi Finn!! And welcome! ... if I haven't already done that. Quite often I speak in terms of "we" when a lot of times it is really "they". My kids, Steezemachine and Ridge and myself comprise "we" I am picky about who they will represent next year. Blue has soome good programs and if we could have a place close like we have at CB then Blue would be our home mtn for next year.

Getting to the slope before the lift opens allow you to park close and use your vehicle as a locker walk a short distance straight to the lift and go skiing.. Thats what we do.....
-
Overrated?!!! compared to what? Skiing in New Zealand??? really dude.... High North First, coc second, windellls and momentum third.
-
Thanks for sharing with your bro, zonked!! Come on down for the KMC gym tramp classes.. it's easy and mad fun!! Cheap too!! 4pm on tuesdays.
-
Early access is congruant with "close by" parking, besides don't most of the mountains offer their season pass holders little perks like parking and such with no upcharge?
-
another huge benefit of summer camps.. http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.p...&cmd=si&img=321

WOW - dude you are on it!! I'm going to name drop since I suggested to DaveyJ that he sign on here and ask the same question. since you beat him to it......... I told him that I thought that anyone who buys a season pass buys it because they like to ski not sit in a swank lodge. I thought if the upgraded pass offered more "skiing" priviliedges then he might have something more likely to sell.. Like a speed pass and early lift for example. I/we for one, are a first on, last off type of skier, so parking is always up front and lockers are always available, my boys and I know to eat before 11 and then snack after 2pm - I guess if it was important to look good in the lodge then I would pay for the upgrade. I would pay dearly for an extended season.... even if it was one lift on limited runs. BTW - Elk has the restaurant thing at no charge, it doesn't seem ever crowded.

WOOOOO HOOOO here's to small hills and slow lifts!! -- but but but what if it was owned and you could ski there for freeeeeee ...
-
Get your deposit in early and that will motivate you to get the rest in to them by May 1st 2006 -- I know there are several Roundtop guys.. With the new BLue program and the mysteriously missing Bear Creek guys it should be easy to put a good group together. Figure on flying out of Newark NJ - Talk it up!

Mountain Creeks Forum looked lonely so I thought I would freshen it up a bit. Who skied there last year?
