There was an article about keeping the fun in skiing that I really enjoyed reading in the Feb issue. Maybe I just keyed on that and skipped over the rest. There lots of good points (i thought) that would make for great topics here.

great idea! I will never understand why crowd the slopes in the coldest incelment weather with less than 100% coverage like Christmas week and avoid the slopes in march when there is better weather and 100% coverage. baffling.

I quickly picked up Feb issue this morning and scanned through it. I like the magazine, it seems to be more in touch with the average recreational skier. Why don't you guys like it?

not so bad that they listened to salomon 2 days before the event and built a larger hip. werd yeah, warnick got second but in a judged comp I believe he would have been first. he spins both ways, sean, not as well.

Bode is one of the most frequent personalities I hear talked about on the slopes. I am glad he is keeping the fun in the sport.

lets see....... for the most part, aren't the passes cheaper at JFBB for more terrain and a longer season with excellent conditions, parks and woods, than anywhere else in our area? Those are the facts.

if they had a short season with expensive passes on just one hill with periodic unexplained closures, I would be on their ass for sure. Hell if you buy a pass now for JFBB it is good for potentially 6 more weekends plus all of another 5-6 month season next year!

Revival of the Fittest competition this Saturday, March 15. We will be holding registration in the lower lodge from 8:30AM-10AM. It costs $10. We will have practice from 10AM-10:45AM. Here's the deal, we will have one jump and a rail jam plaza. We are going to create two groups. randomly split. From 11:00AM-12:30PM one group will be riding the jump and the other group rails. At 12:30 the groups will switch and ride until 2. We will have judges at both sections. It is judged based on best trick. Your best trick from the jump and rail section will be combined for the overall. winner. Can you survive the fittest riders out there? We will have two age groups for boarders (15- and 16+) and possibly two for skiers depending on the turn out. We will also have the women's category. DJ Gamma Rae will be spinnin those beats. It should be fun! Pond Skimming starts at 3PM then so head to Minuteman to get your swim on! A ton of these kids are coming to Boulder on Sunday. It's worth making the trip, these comps have always gone off really well.
