newschoolers has changed a lot in the last year (not for the good) lots of trash talk -- I think that we can offer our local freestylers a lot more substance than they get over there. Keep encouraging them!
-
They are coming from Newschoolers. Roundtop has a very active cult there. Bear Creek was active but now it is quiet. There are several east coast cults and a pennsylvania one too!!
-
I got involved with the ISSA last year - I'l let them know they have a central mountains place to post on now - they do the racing circuit similar to ASRA except in the central area.
-
As a validation for the roundtop riders and the DVD, 4 of the "riders" are at Whistler right now honing and progressing their craft. I think they have set the bench mark for other news schoolers in the PA area to set their own mark by. Post or link a teaser!!

I put this in here just for the history of the subject. MONTAGE SKI AREA FOR SALE May 10, 2004 SAM Magazine--Scranton, Pa., May 10, 2004--Montage Mountain Ski Area, owned by Lackawanna County, is for sale. The minimum sale price is $9.6 million in cash. Three potential bidders have shown interest, including one group led by Joe Aichholz Jr., owner of nearby Blue Marsh Ski Area. A northern Poconos ski area is also said to be interested. The county commisioners have asked bidders to submit offers by June 4. Montage opened in 1984 and has been county-owned since 1991. The 400-acre resort in the northwestern Poconos offers day and night skiing on 140 acres and a 1,000 vertical. The area has 21 trails, 5 chairs, two surface lifts, plus a waterslide and tubing hill. The trails are 100 percent covered by snowmaking, but county commissioners estimate the system needs $4 million to $5 million in improvements. Interested buyers must guarantee they will operate the ski resort for a minimum of 10 years, retain 20 full-time employees, make needed capital improvements and detail family recreation programs for county residents.

Thanks Atomic - it might be a viable option someday but right now, I am going to the 7-11 see if a winning lottery ticket for 4m to secure Montage would solve all my skiing questions/issues racing and riding etc etc..

my boys Giro's were $140 -3 yrs ago. Ski shop prices, BTW getting a replacement visor (too many face plants) has been next to impossible. Giro didn't answer an email - and ski shops have directed me to look on line...
