  1. The stickers work!! we need a line on the sticker that entices a sign-in..
  2. Yeah what she said!! Bad press makes for good press. bring him on!!
  3. American Capitalism at its finest!
  4. Interesting.... Don't kick off the spam yet - lets see what they have to say.
  5. would be? would be? I already am!! and furthermore, when's the last time I heard thanks!! Any volunteers for administering some corporal punishment???
  6. Cool! Welcome to the team!!
  7. The recruited ex-Mrs likes the silent passive partner role.. No, not really however, we rarely see Steeze during the day. One of them is from Mars the other from Jupiter. errrrr... one is a rider the other is a racer.. I had to threaten to take the Steeze's lift pass away just to get him to tape his brother racing in PC. That is the most likely option, Ridge will be at CB while I haul steeze to another mountain as needed, or vise versa..
  8. He/she does initiate their turns early, thats good, right? But what's with the parallel transition next to the gate? Must have something to do with a high center of gravity.
  9. Thanks NJSki! Where do we go??? Anywhere there is snow!! It's the Boys' call.. Ridge wants to join the CAT team at CB and I know he wants to race NASTAR without a doubt. There is the option of independent USSA stuff which might make better sense since we travel so much and attendance at CB could be a problem. Tough call at this point considering that Steven wants to get into any park any chance he can (CB's park is seriously lacking comparitively and a least favorite) - the http://www.nextxsnow.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=main.home events next year is the best competition for freestylers at his age.
  10. Hmmm.. Looks like he is marking his inside turn however, it also looks like he is "flicking" the turn not planting. I think we should send him to MSRT guys and see what they think.
  11. Yikes!!! Welcome back! Hopefully everything is working normal now? What happened?
  12. They encourage people to submit information about lost resorts, it appears that they would love to hear from you and what you remember.
  13. When the snow starts melting, I start thinking about fishing.. I found this on a board I frequent in the summer months http://www.cafelocale.com/discus/messages/...html?1112714616
  14. Hey it's the thought that counts, right? Steezemachine promptly said he should have mentioned the PASR after he hung up.. I think he was caught up in the moment. Next time.. k?
  15. I forwarded the article to everyone I could think of - It appears that the local cub scout magazine is even going to pick it up. I still haven't heard anything from CB yet..
  16. I counted 20 different places we went to this year - although Bellayre doesn't really count does it, I mean we did walk up and onto the snow..
  17. On the way out of Hunter, east on 23 towards 87 - we spied what looked like abandoned slopes, lift and all, it still had snow on it!! The Internet is amazing!! go to http://nelsap.org Too cool!!!! Ski Cortina ~ Haines Falls Have you ever wondered what happened to your favorite ski area? Why did it close? What was the history behind it? Ever driven by a closed ski area and wondered what it was, its legacy? NELSAP is here to answer your questions. Stories, pictures, and hard facts are used to describe the lost ski areas of New England and elsewhere. Since October of 1998 more than 600 areas have been listed on this site! Each state is listed on the menu bar on the left side of this webpage. Just click a state and you'll be on your way to exploring some rather interesting history.
  18. Thanks Dude!!! Something all us boys can relate too!! Sorry ladies
  19. The "state park" mountain should have given them all vouchers, a set of rentals, some lessons and had them make the best out of their unfortuanate circumstances. Humph.... hindsight...... Hey! We didn't get vouchers!!
  20. Hunter - Skier codes - I stopped on my way out of there and read their "statement" I said to the guy when we almost collided that he should always look up hill when entering onto a trail - (he was jumping off the sides back onto the trails) he said to me. "You are supposed to look out for the things in front of you, thats the whole idea" Do you know, that nowhere on the Hunter sign, could I find mention of looking up when entering onto a trail, but that there was an item, that when you are overtaking, that you are to yield... I guess that personifies New York Skiing.
  21. The Wilmington Ski Club. It was my fault I didn't look into the club any deeper when I joined as a family several years ago. Each year, I was optimistic that they would have a family outing or more than one day trip on a weekend that us boys could participate in. The Coup'de tat was not allowing a club member to race within a team against other local teams, because of why?? I learned a lot this year, THERE IS a general stereotypical exclusionary aura that surrounds avid skiers and their teams and clubs. I decided that regardless of my personal feelings, indignation and resentment that I would mention our club affiliation since we are members, in hopes that other families with children would be encouraged to join. I like being different!! I did get a nice note of congratualtions from the captain of the WSC race team this morning. I replied that they should see us at an ASRA event or 2 next year, and, then I went on that they should change their gate training to BC utilizing Nastar instead of Spring Mountain........ I know that Steezemachine would love to have everyone sign his shirt as soon as he can. Hopefully he will read this and remember to bring it if the snow doesn't all melt for the May 13th thing at Bear Creek. Can someone make this smiley work? **Fixed the smiley for ya Rob, 'Dude**
  22. Congrats on getting a Million verticle!! Sorry it had to happen at that place.. Ask dude about the rider that I almost collided with and what my first impression of the place is.
  23. Yeah, I think it is the one that practices the half pikes
  24. The Wilmington DE News Journal picked up story and printed it in todays paper. http://www.delawareonline.com/newsjournal/...startonslo.html
