Steven wants a category for skiing Nastar backwards!! I told him he could start a trend for the freestylers who want to participate in racing... Silly... but i think that could really be fun to watch especially when he beats most of you backwards!! Welcome all to the team!! I bet we can achieve a good ranking once everyone posts a score. Good snowboarders rank easily because there is not that many registered... Go riders! More riders!!! Better than slippers!!

I like the idea of a PASR racing team. Nastar has a category for club teams. Most of the local teams in our area don't include (or I should say exclude) younger persons. So I created a new one open to everyone - riders and skiers alike. http://www.nastar.com/index.jsp?pagename=r...p&compid=416893 Ridge is now a member of the PASR Ski club Team!!! When you log into your statistic page, select or reselect PASR as a club team and click update - The PASR selection may not be there until the retabulation occurs tonight - but give it a try any how.

Funny - we have a set of a similar (14m) at 140cm we would have donated to the prize pool!! Wish we knew that!! We would have visited again. Are they doing anything like that again next Saturday? Bear really makes up for the lack of verticle in ammenities. I think they are creating a nice little niche for themselves - albeit more of a park place - I hate to admit it, but the park rats are driving a larger share of the market all the time. BTW - OT - I saw in an interview last night that Bode may be forming a tour with himself and others to better promote ski racing that is waning here in the US - Hats off to that guy!! Bring the little ones!! They make racing a lot more fun!!

No, I don't think so, not directly...... I did hear mention last wednesday night that it was a possibility, I emphatically voiced my support and asked if I could make a post on this board. I was asked to not that until it was ran through "channels" for approval. So with that said - Whooooooot - Hope you can make it - I would like to meet you and everyone else who has been active with this board! I think this is the best place for Eastern PA mountain info!!

Ok - I think I got it! So, when shopping local junior ski teams, would it make sense to see which team has the lowest USSA points in each division? How can I get those results? I would think that the association brings about assimilation with developing racers. I hear that Elk is very "strong" then Blue, then CB. Curious - which US junior ski team is considered the best? Canada probably produces the most juniors ,any idea of who is the best?

So the penalty system assumes that the top 5 going into a race are going to finish in the top ten? What if one of them DQ or DNF? How are the race points figured? How is an individuals point score then calclated - How do you lower your score? is it an average based on your finish score? How are the race points calculated? Questions, questions, questions.... It may be easier to send me a USSA link to study.. I am going to have to visit this another time...

Could I get an explanation of the penalty system. I think I understand to mean that each course starts with a number based on length, slope and... am I close?

Boxers don't hang the way boulder holders do.. Hang up in the trees that is. You couldn't miss them if they were still there.. We'll make a another donation to the tree this weekend. We figured out you have to toss em like frisbee - you have to play ring toss with a branch......

Ok I think this one is really cool looking.

An update to this string.... Bear did run Nastar on Tuesday and the course was fast, yet cold and windy.. Ridge got within .14 seconds of Dude's slowest time!! After the Boilermaker Union got through with the slopes Tuesday, Bear turned them over several times yesterday and conditions were great last night. Steven, who is feeling better ripped the park to shreds on his new Armada's and Rossi bindings. Get this! When we were leaving last night, they were firing up the snow guns!! Since the end of the season is approaching - I would like to suggest a PASR get together for Sunday the 20th at Bear. Whispers have it, that they may set the Nastar Course for that day and along with the park and killer lodge there should something for everyone. Also, it will be our last day before Ridge goes to the Park City Nastar races. And then there is the tubing hill.. Just kidding!

I totally agree, however Steven gripes about the lack of parks so much, that he has effectively persuaded us from returning this year. Can anyone tell us what features are there this year?

Hang in there and like everyone is saying PT PT PT.. My repaired knee is now much more stable than my other "old" knee. you should be as good as new in time for the season to start next winter. I had mine done 2/23/04 - I went the route of harvesting from my hamstring and removing a partial tear of the meniscus. Remember the PT!!

Our plan is JFBB on Saturday - CB on Sunday... Bear Tues or Wed night - Hope everyone can make it - the more the merrier.. Talk it up!! Someone bring some stickers!!
