  1. Lime green polka dots she says.... Hmmmm.... blue on Saturday... Hope Kmart is having a sale!
  2. Look for the littlest, baddest, fastest pair of munchkins wearing their PASR stickers.
  3. Yep - that is one of the pair, however the tail graphics are sightly different and the pair 11.21 I have are clearly marked R14m - that now makes 3 distinctly different marked pairs - WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be sure to bring both of them with me this weekend. I ain't buying that 3rd pair on Ebay unless Atomic is going to give me double my money back!! I have no way of measuring the radius accurately to see if it is a typo on the ski and they are actually a 17m radius.. There can not be a good explanation for this.
  4. Thanks Jeff, Is the Nastar course at Montage open on Saturday or Sunday? I heard whispers of it being closed due to another race? I think the boys would love the Skiercross (and do well) even if they have never competed in one..
  5. Here is what I got. 2 Brand new sets marked 140cm R14m 94-63-83 Both Graphics are the same with one exception. One says GS:II on the tail, the other says GS:II.21 One was priced at $99 the other at $269 (ski shop pricing) BTW - the Atomic website lists the GS:II.2 as a R17m Why would the tail numbers be embellished on one set, and why the wide variation in cost along with consistent sizing. Which set is the real Mcoy and why in heavens nature would such a name brand play such games? Someone educate me, before I start badmouthing Atomic.
  6. There is still a strong possibility that we will be there if I don't find another Nastar course for Ridge. With Dude away, I can say that the thought of camelback does not impress Steven or I..... What are the age divisions in the skiercorss or aren't there any?
  7. Thanks Greg! Ridge and Steven read this forum, when I let them. Now we can resume!!
  8. Dude, Race kill! - Go Fast!!
  9. Ridge wants to return to the places he is not top ranked and race them again with his new skis and suit!! We are leaning towards Rountop and Montage.
  10. Ok thanks! I will post where we decide to go.
  11. Hopefully, they have read this far.. Hopefully they might take the time to see how Ridge has clearly progressed this season using the NASTAR system.. I am a huge fan of it.. Ridge knows how the handcap system works. Good and bad.. He understands the averages and how they work.. His goal tonight was to race his hardest and best on the first race in preparation for the Utah Nationals. He achieved that tonight unlike other nights where there was steady improvement as he "learned" the course.. The next drill will be to make his first run in a rutted course and see how he does from there.. It is risky and as a proud parent, a horrific crash at the speeds he is running terrifies me! BTW - I doubt he would care if someone older beat him in a head to head - even if it was a 12 year old, an 18 year old or a 30 year old.. He only started racing this year. He is only after the 10 year olds!! Rob and .02 Ridge!
  12. We will be at roundtop on saturday - plans are up in the air for sunday.. Montage of JFBB dunno yet ..... Is there a PASR place this sunday any where?
  13. ah yep ... alittle of this and a little too much of that.. Love them emoticons!
  14. WELL SAID!!! I'm sending this one to NASTAR! Bravo!! Ever think about becoming a politician???
  15. I just got a thought that I am going to bet on in the kids vs adult arena.. Wind drag!!! I am betting that Ridge's smaller body mass streamlined is going to play a huge effect on his numbers tonight with the wind gusts the way they are right now.. Either he will get blown off the course or he will slice through the wind.. BMI - I wonder how and if that equates to performance.. I noticed last night that the other regular racers seemed to be relatively consistent with their scores (only slightly lower with an exception or two) - the other racers are adults... Yet dude and ridge whose BMI is unnaturally low inconsistently scored faster... this whole idea may be silly - but for me.... a proud parent.. it gives me one more thing to think about. How does BMI factor into speed racing and acceleration.. is it an unfair advantage for the kids against the pace setters?? Golly gee wiz.. I'm taking the "fun" out of all this, aint i? Gotta run!!! BC bound!! Will report later... Rob
  16. Change of plans..... We are going to head up again tonight - if I can get some things cleared off my desk and onto someone elses. We are hoping for another quadruple verified paceset!!!!!!!! 3 more of those and Ridge will be top ranked in the Nation!!!!! GO RIDGE GO!!!!!!
  17. Yeah - i will agree with part of that .. I analyzed as hard as I had time for and while the paceset was amiss.. It was a super fast course with little turn... Ridge was on a new set of 150cm which are 10cm longer than anything other he has.. Speedsuit, which is a first for him - he has shown steady progression each time he races throughout this season - His second fastest time, which establishes the state ranking is at 20.55 - There is no doubt in my mind that he would have beaten that number last night regardless of the artificially low paceset.. They throw out the lowest handicap and average the next 3 best times for national ranking - take the second best for the state - but you know all of that... We/he will continue to race and PROVE it to you!!
  18. Don't worry about embarassment - Everyone is very suportive and encouraging - the best part is that you are racing a clock not head to head. With the natural snow pack last night - Ridge continues to move up through the ranks as evidenced by last nights runs!! He did it!! #1 in Pennsylvania!! - He wants to know if he is racing this weekend... Thanks to Skidude and his advice to try the 150cm Vokyls This was his first year racing - and after 11 days of Nastar racing he has steadily moved through the ranks. The NASTAR program really works well for young skiers, since they improve so quickly.. NASTAR allows you to track your own statistics and improvements.. It has been really cool to get all kinds of advice and to see the improvements as a result.
  19. Where were ya!
  20. I guess I should have said "Boulder is next best, BEHIND Bear".. BB on Sunday afternoon was cool for him, because it was put together - it flowed smooth for his sessions. His first runs at BB were really clean and fun to watch. The Steezemachine!! I am typing for him and interperting what he is saying..... Bear offers a huge variety of features that allow creativity and progression to the whole slopestyle thing. The big jumps aggravates a knee problem that he developed this year. I knocked down the edges on his skis - so that should help with his landings while twisting. He only does certain jumps that are set up perfect for his size - those are few and far between by his account. Some one should send all of these testimonials to the Bear management!!!!!!!!! HMMMMMM...... We may change plans to Wednesday night instead of tonight at BC - or we may do both... Depends on NASTAR running for Ridge...
  21. Any word yet on the DETAILS of the Skier Cross at Blue this coming Saturday?
