Skilift, I am a parent of skiing park rat, who competes on a national level and I believe there are very few people in this region who have the observational experience that I have. What Glenn has said is perfect. I am having trouble finding words to validate what he wrote. I hope that you share information from this thread and this board with your son. You will find numerous kids and parents who love the snow and will be eager to help with good advice and tips in spite of the "tone" of some of the replies. ignore the diction and style of the writing and learn the facts. ah yep... was in the exact same situation last year.

JFBB is the best value by far unless you are a mid week morning skier only. You will be happy there. length of season and snow coverage and quality will out wiegh the slower lifts, IMO of course!

That was last year, you are correct. The biggest issue is that Snowflex is semi permanent, so either there has to be a way to blow snow over or there has to be a dedicated area. I think Bear would do really well dedicating an area. I think every park rat would try it and some will have a lot of fun on it and some will never do it again.
