I have heard that people that are condemning and self righteous are usually so because they either have something to hide or are paying a pentance (sp?) or both!
  2. got one, thanks!
  3. Probably Camelback in the mornings, if at all. Just really depends on who I was skiing with and what the plans were for the weekend. I wouldn't drive 3 hours to ski the Poconos by myself, if that what you are asking. But really, why do you ask? please share, since you seem to know more about that than I do.
  4. How can that be a serious question? The travel kills us however he super stoked to be leaving for the US Open tomorrow, plus we will be Xgames on Sunday and he has 3 weeks at camp this coming summer. On the other hand he likes hanging with friends here locally, so whatever he wants is fine. Why would you ask such a question, been stalking kids myspace pages again?
  5. I read some good analogies of the persona in the crowds.. something along the lines of a bunch of Areyx/spider wearing joeys with out a clue as to whether they were watching big air or half pipe.
  6. because parks are for snowboarders - everyone know that! Where have you been? I am so hoping for commentary Saturday night that somehow will compare or reference last nights runs. I got a feeling that the only mention will be Dumonts 20' boost.
  7. Jon's Video Blog recap is up !!!! Check it out!! X Games 12 Skier 1/2 Pipe Finals
  8. Bobert is a good guy, he should be able to hook you up at Bear. Other wise consider the Blue Boys and thier freestyle program for a lesson or two. I know they would be super stoked to have some one older eager to learn - plus you are of the opposite sex - plenty of after school lessons at no charge should be widely available to you. A diamond in the rough you are! find someone, we need more women involved with FS!
  9. I heard that his cousin said something to someone who then went out a committed some heinous assult on somebody because of all of that. people are nuts!

OH Stop!! As a former journalist, I am really surprised that you of all people would get sucked into that kind of muck raking. It's garbage ski, in spite of our differences, I have respect for you, but this really oozes of you searching the bottom of the barrel something to drag up unrelated to his feats with racing which isn't repectful in my eyes related to the "news" . Everyone knows that blowing sunshine up peoples butts doesn't sell. But getting all the rotten juicy tidbits does sell the dirt rags you seem to be scouring. Quit feeding that kind of crap. Really, few care about someones' cousins' brothers' uncle who got into a fight behind the school. They care much more about the accomplishments of the individual. what is done is done. Root for our fellow racer to help grow the sport we love and quit tearing him down. It only makes you look good to religious right...... which you arent.
  11. thanks for the clarification. THIRTEEN FOOTER...!
  12. Agreed.... There apparently is some politics/marketing/TV hype going on. Andreas run was like a smaller version of Tanners run. I can't wait to start watching recaps of runs on youtube. I am betting that in a few weeks, more will say that Simon should have scored lower than he did. Tanner, Andreas, Colby, Simon - should have been the results IMO! Judging percentages, criteria and formulas for the X games should be published. I am sure that all those judges were dead on with thier assesments, just not too sure about the formula.
  13. Word... So good to see half pipe - do I dare say progress? Nice to see pipe going to a whole new level. In spite of the lameness of the announcers, they did a great job of hyping to the general public. Thank goodness the judges favored the more varied hits (tanner) than Simons big air spinning all the same way. Pipe and comps would have taken a step in the wrong direction had Simon one. IMO!!! Don't get me wrong, I screamed holy shit! at Simons 3rd run, 1st hit, the same way backflips amaze people watching from the lifts, that huge hit was amazing, but it is the whole run that counts, not one hit. That freakin Aspen crowd was the same way, they couldn't see the technicality of Tanners run but could see Simons 20 foot boost 5 feet higher than everyone else. Stupidly ignorant mob mentality ruined some aspects of that comp for me. BTW - Tanner told Simon that he is the better skier, but that he should have spun both ways. Props to Tanner for not having the previous years bullshit speeches and I am super stoked to see him give a nod to the olympics! I tend to agree with Tanner, had Simon spun both ways and grabbed he should have won. The bigger debate is on the 3rd place finish. Colby was impressive no doubt, in some ways I think he should have finished better than Simon. As time goes on it will be interesting to see how this comp interfaces with the FIS and USSA comps. Style versus Height and Spinning. and................ No disrespect to snowboarding - but I really hope they compare skiing and snowboarding 1/2 pipe Saturday night. Warning.. Claim....... I am super stoked to know that we will be in Aspen to watch the slopestyle on Sunday. WOOOOOT!
  14. naive? thats looks like a fashion statement spelling if I ever saw one. Maybe its the correct way to spell it - whatever.. it looks silly.
  15. pipe is starting now. tannner will own all!

  21. So Mountain Creek had a park pass system last year and I understand that they don't now. How is it working?
  22. hey nick, I just noticed that I am in your picture in your signature. it looks like i have video of you for sure.
  23. well if you are serious, check out B session for COC - you can fly out of Newark NJ with my son and 50 other camp kids. COC is going to be huge this year!
  24. Good point megan, but hey, communication works both ways. Over the christmas break, i was stopping every twin tipper and asking, where you from? Everyone seemed really stoked to be there and was happy to talk. Someone has to welcome, I even saw Jackie last weekend and asked who you riding with? she said same crew... so yeah crews seem to be the thing now. I just can't figure out why kids seem so shy to ask, "hey can I make some turns with you?" It has something to do with park skills, I am sure. thats too bad, cause most of the skiers I know are happy to give some tips and show off what they know, but you got to approach them first. some one has to speak first.. Everyone seems so shy and introverted.
