T-maki on here for Blue. I would think he knows who would suit you best. Skier150 - twelve60.com for MC - talk to him. Billy Van Gilder - MASS he replies to messages. SkiCamelback on here. for the CB guys I mentioned above.

Dude, at your level you might consider contacting the guy over at Camelback Mountain School for a private. Mike Jennings is his name, I think. He has the accredation and all that. There is another guy who left JFBB for CMS, damn... was it Shawn? At your level I would not waste my money on anything less than referal, going blind without references will probably not satify you, IMO. Hell, see if Billy Van Gilder is available or willing. I have standing rule with my son that he take lessons each year. It is getting increasingly difficult to find or get to the most qualified coaches. It's not exactly a career profession.

I am sorry!! I forgot about 7S... I wish they were closer. Yeah by far they have the best pipe in the entire region to the best of my knowledge. I am trying to remember who in NY for that matter has a decent pipe. I am not sure we can inlcude MC cause well, is it ever been open the last 2 years? Sno Mountain is supposed to have pipes this year, but I know nothing about the grading or cutters or who is running them.

Photos can be found here: http://roundtopriders.com/v2/gallery/ Thanks Ben!

good god, what is so hard to understand that it is too warm to blow and it is forecasted to continually be warm for the next couple of days. so they will not be blowing on any other trails until that time. When is supposed to get cold again? not till this weekend.

I think Camelback has the best graded pipe. Question is whether it will be open and what type of shape it is in once they blow it. 400L' at 13H' if I remember right.

do i need to post?

I should know trail names but I don't, the houses at the highest part of Northridge are about the same level as the top of the lifts. I should know, I look out the windows and I point to the house from the slopes frequently. Freedom Park is about the same size as Laurel Glade. IF CB unleashed thier marketing machine with a bunch of hype about blowing snow early for the park rats and having a lift serviced, jib filled trail open, I bet they could get slammed with way more than a 1000. you're right. I thought maybe just maybe after they saw how many turned out for thier late season rail jam last season, that they might do something progressive early season.

If CB would do something like blow one trail open for the kids on laurel. Then they could do the same thing boulder is doing and help themselves get a bunch of preseason stoke going. but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..... why do something awesome for 1000 kids on a sat and sun, when you can wait another month and get 6000?
-
You got 50 acres of base area? really? Okay folks.. Our house at camelback, which is just about level with top of the lifts.... we travel to Boulder regularly and temps consistently go 3 degrees lower in the winter, from summit of Camelback to parking lot of Boulder. 4-5 degree difference from parking lot to parking lot. thought employees were exempt?

sorry man, but I need to get a camera and show you what nips does to his skis on the first day out. that looks like a minor topsheet scratch to me. no worries the rest of the scratches will come easy.

I'll never forget how excited a greeter was to say they hit 3000 tickets on a particular day early season.. like it was a magic number. thats like 800 per acre, holy crap!
-
hahahahaa ah yep, my guesses are always spot on.... and don't you let me forget it!
-
I heard that this info is guarded 250k -300k visits. Ticket yield with everything, passes, rentals, school, concessions? Anyone want to counter my guess of $50 per ticket?
-
The venture capital money that I know are higher than that.
-
Everyone! Hit me up for PASR stickers, I usually have a stack in my jacket pocket. You gotta ask though.

There are several large property management companies that handle the rentals. use google to find them, then call, alot of places aren't actually listed on the websites.

It was awesome to see Camelbacks mountain school at Big Boulder yesterday.
-
not cold enough to blow for awhile.
-
Steamboat - Very family oriented resort and a decent town to go with it. there are numerous homes available.
-
omg the hype is amazing. CB called in Channel 10 to talk about them blowing snow and then go on to say that they aren't opening until the first or second week of December.

Such an awesome event last year. It was the best organized jam I went to ever.
