They won't hire outside of CB. They have too many firmly entrenched employees.

Now that is off season, it's a lot easier to get insightful information. I was really rooting for CB to notch things waaaaay up for last season. I got stoked on the hype over a "competition ready pipe" park passes. so forth and so on. I had a good conversation on the last day with the owner. CB moves slow and methodical.. What was hugely baffling to me was the amount of money that CB spent to put in the new pipe. I saw it a half dozen times and it sucked comparitively to a dozen or so other pipes at other resorts. I called out the park manager and groomer as being the reason for the ineptness. I go this really good piece of info to think about for next year. now - in season 07/08 I believe there is a cutters camp in the budget - too little too late? Discuss:

naaaaa, I delete posts mostly, the guys are a lot more harder with bans than I am. Call it on-line education course. I spend time in equipment, gabber, site, donators, mods, videos - then cruise regionals and finally cults, I follow a lot of links. Since it looks like I am on all the time, I get a lot of messages, so I try and reply to everything. OH - we got an event calendar now! The stuff is $125 per square meter.. Bryce Resort the one that has the grass skiing in Virgina is putting in small 2 or 3 hit rail park to compliment the tubing slides they already have in Neveplast. The only distributor is there at Bryce. Hit me up for contact info.

Twin tip sales were way up again this year, I thought this year at May Day there was a ton more skiers, just no editors. OH... not positive but that was xnick's video that boulder used last year. I have tons of tape but do not have the patience to edit.

yeah ski.. I am from the 30 years of recreational skiing, skiing to me has always been fun. I want the gear that the kids are having fun on, not the ones who act like wallflowers... Quite frankly, I think that is the problem with racing for juniors, there doesn't seem to be any fun in it... The icing on the cake was hearing a coach repremanding the kids that if they went into the park they would not be racing that day. Derbies at RT.. Kids can get serious later, when they decide thats what they want. I dunno.. I know that I would sponsor the fun out going rabble rouser in 10th place before I would the ultra serious boring guy with all the skills. You know why? Cause those are the ones that people notice... Freestyle is a lot like that. I see kids with huge skills with out sponsors and I see the blazing mediocre teenagers with full on sponsors... Now, that kid with out the sponsors grumbles about why he is better than this and that guy mean while the guy with the hookup is out there talking about how sick his gear is and having fun with it. Who would you want to be around?

Are the sponsorships levels in racing similar to freestyle? proform - heavy discount grass roots - buy one discount get one free plus accessories flow - gear as needed amatuer - gear + some travel pro - full on - podium cash, fees, travel. Aren't teams typically sponsored, like I thought I saw Summit all on Rossi last season. What is an example of a sponsorship for a racer, I mean what are we talking about, and what about this disqualification thing I hear if you accept gear or money? I think it is overly harsh to say that BOde is bad for American racing. whether it be bad or good the fact is he brings a lot of attention to the sport and that in itself is good.

^^ I dunno, big companies are saavy, sounds like a convienent excuse, maybe they are allocating more to freestyle? Why do ski companies give gear and travel expenses?... to get thier name out, if there is no return on the investment then they will put thier advertising $$ somewhere else where they feel they get a better return on the dollar. Sucks for the kids that need the gear that can't afford it, but then I have heard many times that racing is 10% gear 90% athlete. Rather than companies dumping thier old gear to Ebay re-sellers, maybe they should be giving them to the racers? edited cause the syntax and spelling sucked.
