  1. Furthermore Fluffy. regardless of how many runs I make at Boulder, my time spent on the slopes is exactly as you point out, running my mouth, observing and learning and speaking on the behalf of the kids. I am very proud of the time that I spend on the slopes and how that time is spent and WHERE it is spent. Best point I just thought of, is how kids will complain to me but are afraid to say anything to BB. Now what is up with that? Interesting thing happened Saturday and to those who were there........... awwww nevermind.. PM if you are interested.
  2. These are your posts above in this thread, what do you offer except to say NO. Below, I point out what I think is the problem, qualify my observations and my lack of inside knowledge and then I go on to offer possible solutions along with some typical business justification as to why you guys won't try to stay open as a zinger.... What do you come to this board offering? You my friend are the one "bitching" at what? the customer? nice.............
  3. whats your screen name?
  4. Why should I stop bitching? Who is bitching, I offer posible solutions and you offer what in your post above.. Think about it. What is wrong with begging for a ski slope to stay open that still has snow on it? Unfounded? So, your point must be that you know I'm right and that the truth hurts?
  5. The park builders cult has a lot of really good responses.. This is an article from the Seattle Times.
  6. it's getting late but that is a good point, how many season pass holders would pay for thier ticket for one more weekend. I would for nips and I
  7. definite gaper steeze
  8. spandex under shorts with suspenders
  9. hahaha yeah, there philosophy is "to let the park speak for itself" teaching it to fax comes later.
  10. Park passes........... I know, but seriously.... Another specific form that requires you to acknowledge the danger of parks is what should happen.. OH........ I thought it interesting to get grief about suggesting that salt.................. nevermind.. This is the guys myspace - don't check it out unless you like getting even more pissed off about this issue. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=19738422
  11. no inverts.
  12. not from boulder clueless noob
  13. You got to spend a little to make a little..... I know that I would have advertised. I would have blown snow a week ago when it was cold enough and advertised the hell out of it... But hey, I don't know the costs.... Nothing ventured nothing gained... maybe next year. It is unheard of that a local ski area was open in April and I contest that it is still unheard of - hell, ski shops don't even know that Boulder was open. Even some cheap viral marketing would be better than nothing. simple radio spots? How about hyping it on message boards? I check thier myspace every once in a while and it has been dead. Thats unusual... I got a number of people to visit from long distances and the reaction was all the same.. HOLY SHIT!! - Look, its good for the regulars with no crowds, but the reason they aren't selling any tickets is because few people realize what they have. Fat and happy is the thought that occurs to me, I heard early on (mid season) that Boulder had it's best season ever.
  14. hmmmmmmmmmmmm... okay well... a business first and foremost that doesn't let it's customers know that they are open? I mean come on, we were in Stroudsburg Saturday with ski clothes on.. you should have seen the looks... The people that inquired were amazed to hear that a slope 30 minutes away was still open. The only reason there aren't enough riders to keep it open is because .............. fill in the blank... Hint, it isn't because of lack of snow..
  15. The hotel is too far off to worry about..
  16. midway nor Tannebaum are steep enough. I would vote for multi weg or however it spelled.
  17. so say why they won't reopen then.
  18. hahahaha - how do you know that?
  19. nips and I
  20. why... just give a plausible explanation, quit being a stuffy fluffy.
  21. open it up
  22. aka mashed potatos?
  23. Many places are probably locked into a closing date due to insurance.
  24. Yeah - on the other hand if they had invested in a little bit of advertising they may have sold more tickets. Just keeping the website active isn't enough.
  25. The first 2 jumps saturday on Boulder were beat by most of those I heard comment, speed was becoming more of an issue as the day wore on until I begged for salt - youre the first to say otherwise. What trail would work best for a pipe?
