  1. For those interested, Philadelphia ABC station at 5pm this Saturday there is the Jeep King of the Mountain 1 hour Event. There were 4 from our region (see the list above) who were there and hopefully everyone will get some camera time. There are other times and dates listed for Scranton, New York etc.
  2. I don't think so. Very few want to "shred" 400' of vert. On the other hand give kids a supply of skating rink shavings and a box to slide on and you will have a mob scene. 400' of park features will sell tons more tickets than 400' of an empty trail after everyone is closed - think about it. If they step it up next year to a level of say... Boreal, they will do really well considering the close proximity of Philly and NYC in comparison to San Fran and Sacramento. Because they have 2 hills on one ticket, I think it is a sweet deal. Each mountain needs a niche market to cater to, for example if BC had another hill with 700' of vert on the same ticket we would get passes there since it is closer however it is much colder at BB so that means a longer season.
  3. word is everything is worn out.. if park is what you want, you have to head up to boulder..
  4. Has anyone checked thier web cam? Check out the snow they are pushing around! http://www.jfbb.com/webcams.asp The word is rails, boxes and jumps everywhere The majority of the services are now closed, with only the double decker lodge open. That should create a really good scene in that, normal tourist traffic won't be there with rentals and what have ya. Bring your cameras, I expect some never before seen type of park riding atmosphere.
  5. tomorrow is the big day for him.
  6. sarcasm.... correct?
  7. Funny - they could turn on the guns tonight if they really wanted to. This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 53. North wind around 16 mph. Tonight: Clear, with a low around 24. North wind between 6 and 14 mph. Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. North wind between 5 and 9 mph. Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. North wind between 5 and 7 mph. Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Saturday Night: A chance of showers after 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  8. done, sent flame mail to CB...
  9. they are all nipples skis, so I say we. come to boulder this weekend and we can talk. depends on the bindings since IMO they are worth more than the skis (they don't have as much wear as the skis do)
  10. it's a great idea and I think whoever steps up first will do well..
  11. We have several pairs of skis in the range you want. 3 pairs AR-3's Armada at 150cm. well used and broken in. Salomon Flyers at 158cm. atomic punx at 158cm, t-halls at 161cm...... yeah if you are learning at 5'3" 150cm is good. Don't let everyone convince you that skis over your head is the only way to go. There is a reason why most of them have blown knees and all kinds of other problems
  12. Starting a new thread. So many things to talk about. If this event happens next year, keep in mind that this years $150 registration fee included 5 days of skiing. My 5 day pass as a coach/parent was $125! Lots of awesome skiing, lots of up and comers, lots of drama and lots of good times over the 5 days. I would encourage everyone into skiing park to try attend if they do this event again. One of the most awesome things to have happen was the VTO train, this is a great edit showing some of the runs and lifestyle: http://www.brightcove.com/title.jsp?title=687001139 THis edit is the mostly just the train. http://newschoolers.com/web/content/videos...129163/cat/top/
