  6. So CB doesn't treat you like a clueless noob on your annual 5 day visit?
  7. if you want to go with something off the wall - go with these.. http://www.strictly.jp/products/products.html
  8. nips said he was 270 on and 270 off, basically spinning the whole box.
  9. Now why would you do that to the administration building, I thought you liked being treated like a clueless noob?
  10. another aquaintenance got mislead by information given over the phone and also had a bad day. This was taken from another board.
  11. dammit method, I was trying a different tact. But uh yeah, If they have anchor points installed anywhere I haven't seen them. I assume they are only on the front four and cliffy - I can't see them using 2 groomers to build a jump, can you?
  12. http://www.jeeptpc.com/bloglist/site/homepage.aspx Apprently, you had to qualify at another resort in order to participate at the Regional at Shawnee. Bear Creek had the only one posted locally. Is anyone going to this that you know?
  13. unanswered, naaa........ just not on here publicly All of the advice is taken to heart, most of it acted upon. Some obscure stuff like winch grooming the landings, is actually almost impossible because of the grade of the slopes interfering with the cable on the knuckle of the landing.
  14. Feeling sort of antagonistic and bumping this post since I wrote this before CB was open. Now they are open, yet they are closing the pipe and park again to do what? Blow more snow.. Thats good, but why not last week or even initially? QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) CB is more "cautious" then most when it comes to operations on "open" trails. The hazards involved make the risk not worth it. The lights being on has two reasons. 1, it helps the snowmakers and groomers operate more efficiently THis is Bull.. many western resorts blow and groom without lights. it's more of a billboard first. Why are they so much more cautious, is this good for the customer? I bet they still have bungee stakes at the bottom of all the chain link fences........... go take a look some time.. QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) and 2, it allows the night security guards to be able to watch for "poachers." OMG.... are you serious? QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) The "substantial" improvements are happening every year. This season alone they have at least doubled the size of the Rhodo park, Doesn't matter if it doesn't open and the jibs are of sub standard quality compared to other resorts. QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) and increased the number of rails. Rails? really? got any pictures or are you just reading and believing what they tell you? QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) Added a bigger pipe, hahahhhaa. a small fraction bigger and certainly not any longer and here again, It will probably go like MC they will only open it in time for comps at the last month of the season. QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) and started a "freestyle" team. I know 4 out of 8 kids on that team. The concensus is that that program will not attract many students due to the USASA affiliation. A couple of them are on that team under duress. Read my closed thread that announced the program in the CB forum. QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) Sorry if not everything makes it better for your needs, but, like Spock said " the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few." I make it well known that CB does a little bit of everything and doesnt do any of those things exceptionally well. It is an interesting dynamic that the biggest mountain is so mediocre with its programs. OK, I will give them the pipe comparitively to others in previous years however I am betting that will change next year if not this year. besides, pipe is really old school and seems to be loosing it appeal in the park. QUOTE(ski911 @ Dec 21 2006, 07:06 AM) If CB is run so poorly, why is it the most successful area in the Pocono's? Because they run it for the most profitibility. Season ticket holders demand too much and give little in return. Besides, it is well known that the water park carries the whole operation. I can't honestly say that if I owned it that I wouldn't run it the same way. However I don't own it. I am vocalizing my disappointment that my spoiled little brats give me such a hard time about it when I tell them they are skiing there. --------------------
  15. Or Mgmt directing groomers to put in flat jumps and landings.
  16. And you should troll in the blue forum and no where else.
  17. Good... Hopefully someone will direct your groomers to build proper jumps worthy of a park pass. Also steepen up the landings of the rails. The flat rail is the best rail there IMO - it needs a steeper landing and sides - put it at least 5 foot up at the start so you can have a long steep area to land at the end. How do you intend to fix the transition of the wall ride with the snow gun behind it?
  18. I am curious, for a mountain that focuses on beginner ticket sales. Why would they put this picture up?
  19. All the trash talk is directly in relation to the parks. The biggest resort area in our area with the worst park doesn't make sense. Employees aren't allowed to park in LOT 5 anymore. Thats a good thing for customers.
  20. uhhh.. I should have clarified, we only ski weekends... Arriving mid day on saturday, everything was as if it was 3 pm on a weekday. I really miss thier hype machine - It seems to me that they are just cruising now and content with the local scene -
  21. water torture combined with thumbscrews I hope Seasonal help, dude... It's not like their careers depend on good references... c'mon man.. Yeah, Bob.. BC does not deserve equal punishment.. This aint Rich Wiseman talking.......... cause he wouldn't. BC Mark means what he says and you can trust that he in some way thanks you for bringing your issue up so that he can improve BC just that much more. So......... do you practice what you preach? thought so...
  22. word is that this is the best feature at CB... race kids on plastic trays from sunbowl rip!! kids with instructors jackets can roll a mean 540 with a MDX bottle... wooooooot!!!
