gotcha.. makes sense... the poppier lips are better for off axis and inverts and provide more hang time at a slower velocity (less hucking I guess)
-
On a serious note... Can any one shed any light on why skiers like "poppy" jumps and snow boarders generally don't? Seriously
-
How big is the knuckle of the first jump? - Bigger than you can hit, why worry about it. Does it boot you up? - of course, its a jump Does it boot you out? - see above Does Papasteeze like it? - How is the run in? - snow covered Can I drive my C6 over it? - sure, take the access road around to the side to the old bone yard and point it down hill. Who designed the park? - God Where does said person live? - Somewhere up there. What is their phone #? - Dial 911 and ask to speak to him Date of birth? - Really old, doesn't matter. Are the rails sticky? - Only if you have been getting off on them again How long are the rails? - longer than you .. How is the snow? - cold

I'll buy his ticket, but he has to freestyle for the Newschoolers, I think they would get a kick out of his antics.

But mark your calenders if your interested. We'll shred, learn some new shit, film a bunch of stuff, and do some giveaways Your bound to learn something, and stay entertained! -
interesting enough, I haven't seen any hate on him all, but I saw him whining like a baby to the judges after his USFO qualifying run. The times I have watched him, he is always decking.
-
Yeah good catch.. We will have to ask him this weekend... I could post it up on NS. Steven told me that in the prelims Seany was one of a few who cleared the first 2 jumps, Nearly everyone bailed on the third due to the fresh snow and slow in-run. I wish I could remember the details but at the USFO last year, I witnessed Carlson getting some bogus high score for a crappy qual run that put him in the finals. Sammy is so awesome on film.. It's just that I don't remember him placing consistently well, ever. So yeah. Interesting.

We got spoiled last year with the 3 jump line up mid-december. The weather does look crappy. the sizes really depend on how much of the precipitation is rain and how much is snow. -

Wallisch, Stepp, Seanyj and a whole cast of characters plan to be in attendance. Good times and some surprises to be had by all. No comp or anything, just hang out, throw down, or shoot the shit, its all good. Hope to see everyone. December 27th 2008 - Approx. start time around 10:00am. "Home for the Holidays!" Come join regional pro and am riders at Big Boulder for a day of hangin' out and shreddin'. Pennsylvania natives have been blowin' up, so lets all get together, jib out, and show the world that even in the rain we make this shit look good. Broken collarbones, busted knees, or perfectly healthy, come one come all and throwdown or just hangout and be a part of the good times. There will be light swag on hand from several sponsors to hand out for things like good crashes, great stunts, and random acts that make people laugh. Also, a limited number of posters will be available to be signed. Boulder has promised a perfectly groomed park that will be prime for stompin' whatever you've been working up to in the early season. Hope to see everyone out there, and if you have any questions feel free to ask them here on www.paskiandride.com or on www.newschoolers.com in the Big Boulder Cult or Regional forums. More info to come right before the weekend!

camelback does have a decent program, just speak by taking your business elsewhere. I need to store this somewhere... funny! -
dude.... it doesn't work like that. Its not the army or corporate officers having meetings, to decide when to have a meeting, to discuss whose responsibility it is, to do what, when... Everyone has input BB, including riders. Decisions are often made at the last moment on the slopes in the wee hours of the morning based on all sorts of factors. There is no hard copy design that is approved or translated into GPS coordinates... There are several groomers that build shape and maintain.. There aren't individuals tied to specific responsibilities. They work pretty much as a team. btw.. Ian was only out in Breck for few days. I am fairly certain that since the next stop of the dew tour is at Mount Snow in two weeks (be there!) that he was there along with Mt Snow peeps checking out the venue. The Dew Tour is a huge event with a.. oh nevermind.. Here: http://www.allisports.com/tours/winter-dew-tour I might add at this point that our own SeanyJ scored 13th overall in slopestyle.
-
Based on that - I would go to JF BTW..... Has anyone ever done calculations on uphill capacity/acreage?
-
no worries! we know tons of people out there, I am just at the point now where he needs to line up his own stuff. He will be there again entered into the Aspen Open and USFO as long as he stays healthy - might just have him stay the entire time. not sure yet, depends on his grades and all that..
-
semantics.. but yeah to a certain degree, basically.... Did you ever see nips? He ended up at walkers. Just simple networking and being involved. The whole sport is actually very small and everyone knows everybody.
-
along with also being involved with Mt Snows parks and hooked up with Red Bull, I am pretty sure with a call or two, he can make or break local up and comers on the park scene.
-
uh yeah.. Saturday the 27th is on. Tom said he is coming along with Steve Stepp and of course Seany J who Placed 13th overall at the Dew Tour. The plan is just a layed back shred fest. No pressure with a comp or anything, just come and hang out.
-
and...... you wonder why people don't like you, that was harsh and really uncalled for.
-
ah yep... http://community.freeskier.com/articles/ar...article_id=3118 A-51 big line opened yesterday but it was a little (lot) windy.
