  1. This is very true, I see numerous people switching back. I am one of them. Think of it this way. I switched back cause I needed manuervability to manage my kids when they were 3 and 4 years old. If I really wanted, I guess I could have remained determined and figured out how to do it but why? Skiing is so much easier for getting around and remaining in control which is what patrollers need to do.
  2. Then take your skis off and walk up. Question? If it was park pass only, would you take the time to get one? Ok - this is really flawed, in other words Blue mtn encourages all who have a lift ticket to go down all trails regardless of thier ability? Understood. the park pass system is working beautifully at CB - the beauty of it is that it requires someone at the top of the slope to explain to the once or twice a timer why a pass is required. You don't have the education aspect at Blue... It's not a bad idea just a good one, better than nothing. Noob trench would be the best method.
  3. yes you are, because you never complain..
  4. new blood from CB is trying to set all the kiddies straight on how to act and the proper way to complain.
  5. who are you going to believe? there are many places on the hill that are over 10 foot deep.
  6. uh............ not sure what you are talking about, I could have sworn I have seen info posted on the website or maybe it was here....
  7. Sense of entitlement.. why is that a bad thing?
  8. so ahead of his time. Pencil steeze is coming back too. couldn't resist!
  9. oh pretty please.... could we have some nice jibs set up on the little patches of snow... please? pretty please? BULLSHIT! CB was owned and ran by an attorney and that persona is pervasive through out CB. (sorry about the stereotype) Attornies respond to threats and then they want to litigate to a mutally agreeable compromise. Who are you trying to fool? The resorts that listen were making thier plans years ago based on whiny little whatever you call them.... If CB wasn't listening then, what makes you think that any park rats are going to believe that they will listen now? The days of diplomacy are gone, time for guerilla warfare! hahahahahahaaa I suggest that if CB is truly interested in losing thier ignorance that they put themselves in the forefront and have something like a public forum like Bear Creek did last year. Page 3.... woot!
  10. Yep, I sure did, a very plausible explanation, I might add. As far as thinking about BB's awesomeness (here we go again) it cracks me up to see a lack of disrespect in regards to my involvement with the park scene. What, is it my tone again? There was a good point above, about the beginner park at BB and that is that it is as good if not better than a lot of expert parks. People don't believe me when I tell them we have been riding an expert park since the beginning of December. It is true. We didn't have to wait, BB made it happen and so could CB if they wanted to.
  11. you reap what you sow.
  12. then his handicap is wrong.. aren't you down around 14 or so consistently? 26 is where I ski at.
  13. They blew that trail, in my estimation 10' deep, it'll be interesting to see what moto x is going to turn out
  14. file an angular notch in the edge at the widest part of the tail to pick up the snow on both sides and viola, the bigger the notch the better the rooster tail!
  15. Par Time 20? is that even possible?
  16. when I was doing this.... surprised you didn't see me.
  17. How is this for a backyard?
  18. boxes or rails?
  19. I have heard this comment before from others at CB.... hmmmmmm..... If CB management is listening to this type of BS and your style of presenting it, then I think we have found the root cause of the lack of park progression and quality at CB. Are you one of those people who think boxes are rails? What part haven't you heard from some expert riders here that the current set ups at CB are dangerous! add ski911 park comments into this group please. hahahaaa - the silent majority is starting to speak.... you mr... are one of those who reap the rewards of the rest our work. speak up boy!
  20. naaaaaa.. in just toying around, i know how much time and work goes into a small clip.. there are some really good edits out there, I have heard of kids spending 6 hours or more tweaking them just to create a 3 minute clip. I just have a lot of respect for how much goes into putting one of these things together. thats all. got any clips of yours I can view?
  21. Sorry for the lack of dimensions, this is the info I got this evening. Freedom: is currently being built for sat open, will be much better then what was there previously > > Widow: > 1. down Rail > 2. down Box > 3. Hip > 4. Hip > 5. Jump > 6. Wide Rail > 7. Jump > 8. Up Down rail > 9. Up flat down box > 10. wall ride > > Boulder: > 1. 50ft down flat down > 2. Jump > 3. Jump > 4. Flat Rail > 5. Flat down box > 6. 50ft jump > 7. Wall Ride </excerpt></excerpt> boarder cross on bunny. A fast paced coarse, nice rollers, big step ups, banked turns, multiple lines (inner, outer). Its gonna be a blast No mention of the pipe...
  22. I started at the bottom of this thread and am working my way up. I had to stop right here and comment. I feel strongly that unless you also post video or pictures you should keep your comments to yourself. Just like trying to critique a ski resort that you have never been to, it isn't right. Unless of course, Martin Scorcese is posting the edit.
  23. You should turn this one into nelsap.org you might get more info, eventually. http://www.nelsap.org/contribute.html
  24. Barb. one pieces and glove liners in mittens was the way to go when my kids were younger. I used to bundle mine up like Michelin Men. I would slip hand warmers in the gloves (special pockets) and foot warmers in the boots on the really cold days like minus 15 and let em rip. Now they wear polo shirts and pipe gloves and won't wear proper layers cause it isn't cool... oh well....
  25. why do you keep saying that? Who are you? Do you really believe that or do you know something about the personality of the CB managers that cause them to supposedly "shut down" to vocal criticism and hurt progression. Somehow I think that is so true of the CB mentality towards customer service. You will understand the shift and renewed focus on parks in a few years and as usual Camelback will be the last hill to catch up with the rest. What year did you finally accept that snowboarding was here to stay. Last year? I am going to go another route here and say damn right they are entitled, when CB advertises the way they do about thier parks (first and foremost this fall) and then they don't deliver anything better than what can be found where? They are entitled to an explanation at a minimum. When they say it is because the weather, then we are entitled to try and educate them to help with thier lack of knowledge or understanding of what the kids are looking for in a park. They are entitled more so than others because they are the future of snow sports and markets.
