The Zaugg in that picture is the 13' model. Zaugg refers to the 8' and 13' pipes as beginner! LOL!!!!!!! If anyone is interested in the finer details of pipe building here is what Zaugg reccommends: http://www.zauggamerica.com/resort/pipegroomers/pipe.shtml enjoy!

wait......... you are on T-Halls? Nips just graduated and chose them, I was trying to steer him to the AR6.

Contact Snowflex and find out how many inquiries they have gotten in the last 3 months from our area.
-
hahahahaaa sweet tip!

Truly - the weather doesn't have much if anything to do with minimum park set ups. This is where you are really wrong. we don't have 6 months like you do out west. With CB's announcement on their park only pass being open Feb3rd - it will only be open 5 maybe 6 weeks before they close. We went to 6 different rail jams this fall.. why...? The rail jam events get more popular every year. Answer this question. Why would a well promoted Rail Jam be held in a parking lot on Feb 17th and not on a local ski slope with snow? ............ CB is/was supplying the snow..

Not true Ash, Roundtop will have thiers open as will Big Boulder - Bear Creek says on thier trail report but no one is talking about it. Not sure what shape Shawnee is in. From Bear: from Roundtop: Sorry for busting your chops.
-
that has been the area explained to me as being the snow skate park.
-
How about a snow skate park Ben, do you know what snow skates are? Do you know how many kids you can cram into a 1000 sq ft in a snow skate park.
-
There are too many to count at Big boulder now. I think Ian is referring to the Snow Skate park. You occaisionally see them out west and now BB has one. Snow Skates are like skateboards except it is a deck only. Try it!

Are the kids at MIT Snowriders club stupid? http://snowriders.mit.edu/index.php?month=Nov%202006 Yeah its so stupid that Leedom posts a blurb about how it's rider did. How about the fact that there were 9 sponsor tents there for this one "stupid" snow event. I have never seen 9 sponsor tents at CB for anything. The point, here again, is how little snow is needed (watch the video clip) to set up some jibs for the kids. Nips is at the end of this clip http://media.putfile.com/boston-rail-jamma WOW - try and understand Glenns point. Park rats don't require the amount of snow (resource) as much as the others. Why is that so hard to understand?

Hard lesson... Please peeps speed check, ride around or whatever you need to do to check out the features before hitting them.
-
hahahaaa... uh yep, I also have seen several very young riders in our area with plently of style. The kids are fun to watch and I know most of them have a lot of fun coming out to participate. 2 Jibs is a great idea. BTW - if at all possible, have a third jib for the kids to goof around on while they are waiting for thier heat. Maybe a little snow skate park or something...

I posted the pic in another MB for comments. My comment was probably premature. The concensus was that is a picture of first cuts based on the angle of the cutter and the flatness of transition and the rough lip.

^^^^^ Well put Glen. The best example of progression and management of the parks happening right now at a neighboring resort where the GM, who I have seen throw 3's and slide the boxes with style, is also the lead park designer and groomer as is the Mountain Manager of that same resort. Albeit that is an extreme example, but maybe not, I predict that the Keiths, Andys and Joes of today are upper Ski Resort management of tomorrow.

Good luck to all - wish were we closer. I don't remember, does Blue load the results instantaneously?

The Yellow Jackets sting you, the Red Coats sling you.

You MIGHT find an example where I called out someone first, but I doubt it. 98% of the time it is people like you who name me personally in a post and then I reply, a perfect example is your post above. Why are you talking about CB and me in a BB thread anyhow? Boulder was mad cold on 1-20-07, 1-21 was the better day.
-
Boyaaaaaa!
-
what do you call someone who goads a 12 year old into hitting 60' jumps.. sorry... I couldn't help stooping to your level. Now seee, here is another example of what? What do you call this?
-
wow, who are you? you guys are funny, you act as though.... wait............ what is your point? Ever Been to boulder to see the jumps? Obviously not. Think CB will ever have anything close to Freeway?
-
thats the whole point you and others are missing. you don't need much snow to set out some rails and boxes, actually you don't need any, ever heard of Snowflex or the facility they are building at meadowlands? Nips was even in center city boston in an invite only rail comp utilizing hundreds of bags of crushed ice this fall. When BB couldn't open a trail thanksgiving week they still set a rail out for the kids to hike and jib. etc etc

I am like the homeowner who beats up on thier builder but only tells thier friends what a wonderful home they have. Ignorant, yeah I was ignorant for not looking in deeper to how CB operates, on the other hand, with the new owner I was being speculative. Besides, it wasn't an investment, it was bought more as a convienence. Now it becomes more of an investment with a new builder at the Four Season and the hotel. Nothing I say will ever hurt thier ticket sales. Might hurt thier competitive programs, but not thier revenue. Ripping it now comes after some really petty stuff, when all combined, after only skiing there 16 times last year, really adds up. Apparently, I expected waaaaay to much from the supposed biggest and best. I was even an advocate of the CMS program until, I looked into it a little deeper and realized that they were likely to get treated the same way the CAT team does.
-
I hear this all the time and think it is wrong. Patrol, Rangers, Crew all have the radios, you are the ones trained. Educate the noobs! I think expecting peer pressure to do the job is........................

Dude - I travel to BB from CB and back on a regular basis. that was true last weekend but not any other time this year, besides, it was only 3 degrees colder at BB 19 vs 16
