Andy will push for something more technical but the organizers will go with a large flat something or another JMHO

Obviously - you don't know me. Why would frequency destroy credibility? Hang with the kids including racers and spend the days on the snow that I do listening and learning what the kids who are on the snow want. I am not talking about the once or twice a year kid - although I have taken my fair share to the slopes this year. have you taken any kids to the slope? do you have any thoughts on what the majority of the kids are gravitating to? It's not rocket science. How many resorts were 100% park 2 years ago? How many this year? Get this months Ski Racing magazine devoted to juniors? nope......... SAM, Freeskier, Skiing, Ski, EC Snowboarding, Future Snow, Trans this and that, nope none of them are devoting larger and larger parts to the junior scene. matter of fact the park scene is not worth putting first and foremost at CB because it doesn't truly matter to them as long as they have ticket sales... Funny fact: I heard that the Greeters at CB were proud to tell customers that they had 3000 ticket sales the day before during Xmas break.

OMG.. hahahahahaaa LOL!!!! woot! WTF is your point, that YOU don't like parents who are proud of thier kids and type out thier accomplishments? OK point taken. Yeah - I have seen that attitude a lot and frankly there must be some deep seated reason why a person gets upset with parental promotion. How was your childhood? Personally, parents who don't talk about thier kids really wierds me out, I don't go bashing on them on here for not speaking, although I would like to! That weirds me out probably equally as much as my behavior does you, cause I am truly interested in what and how they are doing. As for making my kids out to be superior, there are tons and tons of kids throwing more technical tricks or go faster than my racer, lots of them are good friends. Sorry if you misunderstand my intentions. Run up with me. we likely be in Breck on the 31st --- LOL!!! Are you sure you are from breck or that you were in freestyle cause you can't even recognize the jumps on Freeway? LOL!!!!! here is a refresher..

Which ones do you have? closed thin cover what else is there? I would like a park pass sign!
-
uh...................... that is not 13 feet or 12 or 10 for that matter. it's hard to tell from the photo but with out the height isn't that too much tranny room?
-
huh? Metz has ASRA on weekends and we basically only ski on weekends due to length of travel.
-
That is such good news. I had zero faith in the previous supplier being to provide anything of decent quality. I'll sign nips up for the last 2 events. out of town for the first one. What are the categories again?
-
Really? you know that for a fact this year do you? I like how the Rangers keep everyone safe by slowing them down.

Entitlement? A couple acres of a 100 is all they ask for. I wonder what porportion they are of ticket sales. 2%, 5% 10% They are entitled to a fair porportion. The ironic part about this, is the history of this board over the last 3 years. This board was more about freeriding and racing initially. Sure the park rats are vocal but that is the demographic who shows the most passion and interest to voice thier sentiments via message boards. These are the kids that influence thier parents on where to go. THis is the future. What kid doesn't want to be cool in the park? The kid whose parents tell them that park isn't cool? CB said numerous times that they know where the future is going this summer. They backed the statement this fall by touting thier park features first and foremost in thier printed literature, news and letters. When winter got here.. what? is there a park yet? please don't refer to the beginners park I know some kids who have better features in thier back yards! What is upsetting to most of us here is that they could have easily put a little bit of effort into showing a true commitment to the park scene by just simply setting out a few rails and when things were really bad this season they could have let the kids hike some jibs. I bought passes at CB based on that representation that they were going to change this year. I think CB would serve itself better to market itself like a Alta or a beginners ticket or someother niche market. Oh! The pipe. The pipe is being driven by the CMS and the USASA program which very few of the "park rats" are involved in. It's cool that they are adopting a program, albeit the only one available but it is flawed. Refer to this thread for more info. http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6118

wow....... do you really believe that?

seem like a strange request when the first 10 ski for free at JFBB np! Only cause you have to work PASR day first 10 ski free the next group gets put in a hat for a drawing of 5 just incase you CB'ers didn't know. we will likely be there in the evening sampling the pipe and park if open.

measure to the bottom of the lazy river, sillyjake!!

hahahahaaaa... BTW... very little of that promo was shot here on the east coast... A little more shameless promotion. Tune into NBC Feb 25th 1-2pm EST Chances are there will be more coverage of my kid. Disgusting promotion .............. ewwwwww........ yuck................. how dare you............... LOL!reminds me of when there were 200 members here and how I was beaten up over my one kids accomplishments with the NASTAR program and how that didn't mean anything, and that he should join the USSA in order to what? lose his interest in racing? LOL! Those who bash kids who compete, are very strange people in my eyes. Oh... I get it, I am being bashed on for typing about my kids. Sorry for being a proud parent. LOL! why does everyone miss the fact that I am irked that CB advertises the park improvements first this fall and that they were near last to go in? If anything, with the dismal winter - thier new rails could have certainly been set out with a minimal amount of snow. now quit taking my posts off topic, this thread is about Marjies Delightfullness!

Crap.... how could I forget Mark and the shop crew there.. yeah, always consistent and does very good work. While the rates are premium so is his work. Matter of fact, he is the only person in the pocono region that I trust to do work on our skis. The beef stroganoff I had last saturday was satisfying.
-
as an administrator, I would think that you would. People sucking positive info at that rate and not contributing, I thought unusual enough to mention.
-
I never said I don't find a spot up close. It's the principal of allowing employees to park in the premium spots that gets me. I could understand it if it was an office building not open to the public. I think that if they are going to allow it that they should designate, Rangers, patrol, instructors, lifties, etc etc. because in all fairness that is what it is. I mean if they want to really do something nice for the employees why not have employee of the month parking spots....

amazing to see 32 views in 90 minutes and not one comment! Thanks for announcing the opening.

average and below average in all categories with exception of the quality of the groomers, pipe when open and the ability to move more skiers to the top, when open. The part about laurel and a beginner park and the fact they didn't even begin to try to appease the park rats with the dismal start to winter speaks volumes in reference to thier supposed re-focus on parks. The could have esily put out some new rails and invited park peeps a sneak preview if they were truly interested in the future as it has been explained to me. They don't even try.
-
this is probably true at 95% of businesses that rely on customers who park in thier lots a person who skis at over 20 different places a year and only encounters this phenomen at CB. Ski Team is in the building next to Ski patrol. Besides we are at most resorts at or before 8am and the first lot at CB is always nearly full with employees. really? try that attitude on any business that is dedicated to providing superior customer service
-
I think they should ski for free including thier families and get discounted food in the cafeteria. Now that would be a really nice thing to do in addition to the premium parking spots.
-
post whore! Cliffy has to be my favorite run in PA to rip up first runs in the morning.
-
I am too lazy to do the math, but holy crap the internet is wonderful... http://www.skiernet.com/ski_pa.html hahaha you can even determine which resort is likely to be the most crowded by the lift capacities.
-
wow... i must be really blind or really stupid because it has been really obvious to me that the only poster you try and antagonize is me. Are you proud of your catch the same way you would be at that silly trout farm?
-
naaaa, they are probably just hanging with the other lazy mediocre flocks that love CB
