hahahahahahaaa.. lots of people can't stand this board because of me. Lots of people can't stand this board because of Jeff, lots of people can't stand this board because of ski, lots of people can't stand this board because it is all kids, lots of people can't stand this board because it is all park.. yadda yadda yaaaaa..... what irks me is how posts get degraded into personal attacks from posts about subjects or things or events. those that do that, are the ones that should be moderated IMO

did you read the comments under the update? If you are into park and want to visit some place different, you have to check out BB do yourself that favor. It's a really good scene, no pressure everyone is chill and there is tons of room, easy to hike, etc etc etc... This is what was up last weekend. Freedom is being rebuilt. The jumps on Boulder are season-enders if you don't know what you are doing. Most of the features in the beginner park are better than most resorts expert park. Freedom: 1. 20ft Flat box 2. Log Jib 3. Jump 4. Box 5. Log 6. Jump 7. 40ft 40" wide box 8. Jump 9. 24ft Down box 10. 40ft box Widow: 1. down Rail 2. down Box 3. Hip 4. Hip 5. Jump 6. Wide Rail 7. Jump 8. Up Down rail 9. Up flat down box 10. wall ride Boulder: 1. 50ft down flat down 2. Jump 3. Jump 4. Flat Rail 5. Flat down box 6. 50ft jump 7. Wall Ride

oh we will be there alot and I will post my likes and dislikes about ski resorts unlike you people who don't have anything to add to a worthy forum other than write derogatory posts about me.

PASkiandRide day at JFBB - Jan 27!
Papasteeze replied to ThinkSnow's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
There will be a celebrity there. PASR's first banned 12 year old. Root for him in his J4 race. -
Please please put your rails and boxes up on mounds of snow for easier better maintenance. typically your features have been mounted at trail level and get cratered out early and become very unsafe. Steeper landings on your jumps compared to past years would also be a huge improvement.

hahaha naaaaaaaa.. it's all good if you love the snow, I have the patience. sorry I can't be more help with linking turns. Time for a lesson? BTW - next time Ridge is at BB he will likely be on a board, I am thinking seriously about dusting mine off. I wish I knew trail names.. it would be cool for the snow skates, would you have to hike to it?

I am tired of seeing them announce terrain park improvements first in thier marketing and then they are last to go in. It is that simple. It reeeks that that is thier focus when it is not. Why advertise that hype first in page long articles and not see it through. Why? explain to me why they do that?

I believe BC has looked into Snowflex. Lets see how the Meadowlands thing goes, in the meanwhile I am campaigning for circus tents to cover the snow and extend the season. LOL!
-
Furthermore........... you referring to snowboard parks really shows what time warp you are living in ..

Not sure why this thread has been reduced to my kids or I's background. I was simply stating a ski report from this weekend, which Tom has yet to have done, and tom, if you scour back through threads you will find my critisisms about JFBB too. You will also find them about Bear and Blue. What you will also seee first and foremost is praise on how I feel the smaller resorts treat thier customer. Even funnier when you talk about world class parks in our area. Ask my son on which park he would choose to ride on a daily basis given the opportunity. Breck or Big Boulder.. Be careful with that...... hahahahahaaaa So about those qualifications? How about 22 different resorts last year with over a 1m in vertical - in 04/05, 24 different resorts. etc etc. Check the stats above Tom. And if that is not good enough I am involved with many aspects of snow related activities and industries year around. Forget what I spend annually consuming this stuff. I don't throw money around with out investigating what I am buying. Forget that my one kid just won 2 out of the 3 competitions in Vermont 2 weeks ago or that he will be competing Nationally representing Stowe or the BB Team or his sponsors. And certainly my other kid, who is very likely one of the fastest J4 racers in PA. My kids have nothing to do with whether I know anything about snow related activities. I am just the taxi. LOL! My viewpoints are strictly from the consumer side and you should listen. You are probably not very much of a consumer are you, Tom. You just think CB is perfect and they shouldn't improve or can't improve on anything, can they? What about you Tom? took a couple of certification courses ran by locals and get a season pass to CB? what do you have?

Interesting...... care to elaborate? keep in mind that the ski areas change year to year. I understand a once burned twice shy. Then you should choose Bear keeping in mind though, that Bear is becoming more park orientated you will likely experience that more so than Jack Frost. Bear was my top reccomendation for first time outs last year and still is if travel is a concern however, keep in mind that JF has a lot more terrain than BC (Bear). Good luck and report back!

will blue leave thier boardercross trail up? It appears that both Bear and BB will have trails now dedicated to this.
-
LOL.... I was trying to remember where in Utah I got vertigo at.. talk about scary!
-
hey noob! LOL! Those boxes are not long enough to spin one direction onto the box and then switch up and then spin the oppposite direction. (pretzel) Maybe someone can do it however I would have to see video proving it.

Camelback Alpine Team - CAT

I mirrored methods post in your other thread within the CB forum except I suggested JFBB over Bear due to the novelty of having one ticket good for 2 places.
-
I would suggest Jack Frost or Big Boulder based on your info. (your ticket is good for both hills!) Start at Jack Frost and end the day/night at Big Boulder. Take a lesson for your first times out! Blue is too crowded as is Camelback and thier green slopes are typically a mess with people all but scraped off by lunchtime. Best to wait for them to both be 100% before venturing there. Bear has new trails so you might consider going back there to start your season.
-
yeah they were there a couple of weeks ago. glad to see that they are enjoying the slopes.

Funny how I make posts about my experiences at a ski resort and you turn it into attacking me and my family? I ask again, what makes you qualified to behave or write like that. Instead of writing childish rebuttals attacking me, why not write about your positive experiences at CB. Your response is so typical of CB diehards whose loyalty is blind, I contend that it is you who has thier head up thier ass. apparently not. BTW props to the ski school instructors at BB who were taking about 15 - 6 year kids down Big Boulder Trail.. THere were 3 of them. Find those instructors and let them know good job! I cringed when I saw them at first. It was refreshingly reassuring to watch that group several times go down a trail that I would have never allowed them to do so. so that must put you in the bottom 10%???
-
hahahaaa Tom... you fit well at CB.. please stay there and never leave... Your post shows most everyone what you know. Don't get out to other places do you? You certainly don't know me or my kids, or thier abilities, or our comparitive experiences from one resort to another. What qualifications do you have to defend CB?
-
limiting the skiers per acre would be one of the smartest things they could do. however I think they should just limit ticket sales but then there is no way to regulate the pass holders unless they add scanners, turn styles etc etc. I heard the generators running full out, I thought that was unusual in that few of the lifts were running. Are those generators dedicated just for snow making?
